Story
Tweety is a beautiful young female Himalayan we are so happy to have with us. She was not wanted anymore and her owner threatened to dump her. Tweety was pregnant and lost her kittens. We have her now. Tweety has a dark face making her strikingly beautiful. She is loving and friendly. Adores being doted on. Gets along well with other cats. We would like her to go to a home experienced with long haired cats because Himalayans require regular grooming. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Kiara is a stunning adult pure bred Himalayan girl we just love. She was probably bought from a breeder as a kitten and the family just abandoned her. This sadly is what happens where she came from. Kiara is stunning. She has that thick, long beautiful brown coat of a Himalayan. She came to us dirty and underweight but through good food she has blossomed When she first arrived she ate so fast like it was her last meal. She is extremely outgoing and friendly. Loves people attention. Enjoys petting and brushing. Does great with other cats. Should be fine with children and dogs. We want Kiara to go to a home experienced with Persians and/or Himalayans. They require daily grooming. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

For questions, email saufenka@yahoo.com. HOW TO MEET THIS CAT: You can meet this cat in a foster home. LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Shana, saufenka@yahoo.com ADOPTION FEE: $170. This fee INCLUDES spay, vaccines, and microchip. Ask us about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, and other discounts! Emily is being virtually fostered by Built By Bennett. We thank Built By Bennett for giving Emily additional exposure so we can get her adopted right away! Learn more about them at builtbybennetts.com. HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: CATS: Fine with cats but happy as a single left alone DOGS: No dogs KIDS: No small kids KNOWN LIKES: Head scratches and Churu lickable treats KNOWN DISLIKES: Chaos, loud noises, handled too much ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Emily is a beautiful Himalayan mix, senior kitty. She was one of many cats left suddenly without a home when her human died. To keep her out of the shelter, she came to a foster home where we are getting to know her. Her world has been flipped upside down when she should be safe in comfort for her final years. Can you give Emily a safe place to land? She’s happy as a single cat in a calm home but she’s used to other cats so can easily live with them if they give her space. She keeps to herself and is happy to have head scratches from her human and then to sleep the day away in a sunny patch or in her covered cat bed. She loves nothing more than a good Churu lickable treat. Emily is 17 years old and is an easy-going girl with love to share if given a chance. HT ADOPTION INCLUDES: Spay/Neuter A series of FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine (if old enough), and deworming Microchip - lifetime registration with no fees EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free physical exam with Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care within 30 days of adoption and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) within 14 days of adoption. Story
My name is Isla...Try not to stare too long at my stunning beauty! With my gorgeous coat and bright eyes, I tend to turn heads wherever I go. But I’m more than just a pretty face. I’m a loving, affectionate 1 year old girl who enjoys attention, gentle pets, and spending time with my people. I’ve been a wonderful mama, caring not only for my own kittens but also helping nurture others when they needed a little extra love. Now that my mothering days are behind me, I’m ready for a forever home of my very own where I can be the one getting spoiled. If you're looking for a sweet, devoted companion, I’m ready to meet you! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  Interested in this Little Buddy? Please drop us a note at adopt@littlebuddies.com or complete our Adoption Application available www.littlebuddies.org. Our Adoption Coordinator will contact you within 24 hours. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.    Our adoption fee is $190 for a cat or kitten. This includes spay/neuter, microchipping, combo testing, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment and any medical care necessary prior to adoption.  We require all applicants to be at least 21 years of age. For the healthy development of our kittens, we require kittens under 6 months of age to be adopted into multiple animal homes (i.e. the home already has a companion animal or the kitten will be adopted with another kitten/cat). PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note, unless otherwise stated, these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2744850##

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: www.frecklesfoundation.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Jewel! This gorgeous 3-year-old Himalayan beauty is named for her stunning, sparkling eyes that are sure to steal your heart. Jewel may initially come across as a bit of a grumpy old lady, but beneath that serious expression is a cat who absolutely loves attention, pets, and being close to her people. Jewel adores being brushed, enjoys soaking up affection, and would happily spend her evenings curled up beside you. In fact, one of her favorite things is sleeping with her foster and keeping her favorite human company. While she tolerates other cats, Jewel can be easily intimidated by more outgoing felines and prefers companions who respect her space. She would thrive as an only cat or in a home with calm, respectful cats who won’t invade her personal bubble. Jewel does have food allergies, and her foster has worked diligently to find a diet that keeps her comfortable. After much trial and error, we’ve discovered that she does wonderfully on a homemade bison-based diet. When fed other foods, she becomes very itchy and can scratch herself raw, so her future family will need to be committed to maintaining her special diet. Jewel is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and microchipped. She’s ready to find a home where she can be cherished, pampered, brushed regularly, and loved for the beautiful, affectionate girl she truly is. The adoption fee for this cat is $500. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Cat If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
