Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: 5.5-year-old spayed female transferred from Española Humane Society in New Mexico. Intake type: Seized/Custody/Owner Surrender. From the foster: Rowdy is the kind of pup who quietly steals your heart 🐾 When she gets excited, she does this adorable little bounce on her two front feet like she just can’t contain herself. But her absolute favorite thing in the world? Cuddling her humans. She’ll nuzzle right into you, soaking up all the pets and love like she’s been waiting her whole life for it. Rowdy seems to be a pretty low-key, easygoing girl so far, though she’s still decompressing and getting comfortable in her foster home. She spends her days waddling around, checking things out at her own pace, and then settling in close for snuggles. She would do well in a home with or without other dogs, but she prefers her furry friends to be on the chill side. If another dog gets a little too in her space, she’ll politely let them know she needs a bit of room. She’s currently being fostered with a cat and has completely ignored her. Rowdy is doing great with her routine. She sleeps in her crate overnight and stays quiet all night with no accidents. While going into the crate isn’t her favorite part, she settles in easily once she’s there. She had one accident on her first day (understandable nerves in a new place!), but since then she’s been doing well and typically goes potty quickly when taken outside. We haven’t seen her break into a full run just yet, but honestly, Rowdy seems pretty content taking life at her own pace — and right now, that pace is cozy, cuddly, and full of love 💛 Edit: okay, we stand corrected 😄 Rowdy has discovered her zoom button! She’s started to show her playful side and loves a good round of fetch and playing with toys. It’s been so fun watching her confidence grow and seeing her little bursts of energy come out! If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a gentle personality and just the right amount of sass, Rowdy might be your girl. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: 1-year-old spayed female transferred from Española Humane Society in New Mexico. Intake type: transfer. Up-to-date on vaccines at the time of intake. Was not adoptable at the originating shelter due to a history of chasing livestock. Animal control had determined that euthanasia would have been the next step if placement could not be secured, citing prey drive concerns. Partnering shelter requested transfer to allow for placement opportunity. ** I am a dog who needs a yard and room to run around ** From the foster: Star is a perfect name for this young lady. She will be a shining star in your home. She is one of the most loving dogs I have ever known. She is sooooo excited to see you every time you enter a room. She absolutely loves spending time close to her humans. Sometimes she forgets how big she is and fills the whole chair on your lap. Star is potty and crate trained. She has been sleeping on our bed or by our bed with no issues. She enjoys her stuffed toys and chew toys. She has also enjoyed our backyard and loves laying on the cool grass. She learned how to use the dog door very quickly. She knows basic commands and will play fetch with you. She is very playful and would probably like a friend to play with. If you are looking for a big white teddy bear, you have to come meet Star! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Ruby is the sweetest love baby ever to her humans, especially the babies, and all the pets in her house. She is a husky though and loves to escape. She needs someone who can make sure she is always secured and only goes out on a lead. My dad has dementia and always leaves the doors open. I can no longer provide a safe home for her.
