What we know: Two mother dogs and 11 puppies were transferred to Colorado Puppy Rescue from Operation Paw Prints in Texas. Both mothers were found after being abandoned at the rescue’s former property along with their puppies. There were originally 13 puppies between the two mothers; unfortunately, two passed away prior to transfer, leaving 11 surviving puppies who were transferred to CPR. From the foster: Those soulful eyes will get you, and then the goofiness will keep you. Meet Biscuit Louise, the sweetest, silliest girl at the adoption event. Biscuit is gentle with everyone she meets and happiest in a home where she can be part of the family action. She’d love a family with another dog to play with, kids who are steady on their feet, and a fenced yard for zoomies and sniffing adventures. She has playful bursts of energy, and she’s just as happy to snuggle up with you afterward. She’s a brand new learner, so everything is an adventure. She’s getting used to her routine, soaking up gentle handling, and discovering that people are pretty great. She’s still exploring the world paws and teeth first, so she’ll thrive with a patient family who can redirect her toward a toy and celebrate the small wins. From the foster: I am full of playful energy. I love toys and playing with my humans and sometimes I will find my own game or thing to chew if I am not redirected to something more appropriate for a puppy. I am good with other dogs and respect the older dog’s space. I will approach to try and engage but leave if I do not get a play response. I have been spending time in my crate during the day and overnight. I will settle in quickly and let you know if I need to get out to go potty. Even though I am good at being in my crate I prefer being near your feet or on your lap and if you are sitting you can expect me to join you even if I am in the wiggle stage of play. I am small so make sure you shuffle your feet, so you don’t step on me because that’s where I will be. I am young but have started my potty training. If you take me outside, I know that is a good place to relieve myself, but I have not figured out yet that I should head there if I need to go. If you are not paying attention, I will find my own place wherever I am. I should be a good fit for any family that wants a dog with a little higher energy. From the foster: Meet Moonshine, a sweet little girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles! 🐾💕 She’s playful and curious, but she also enjoys taking a step back to watch the action and observe everything happening around her. Moonshine has a gentle, thoughtful side and loves being close to her people. Don’t let her sweet and quiet moments fool you—when Moonshine gets startled or has something important to say, she’ll make sure you hear about it! She’s still young and learning all the puppy basics, including potty training, but she’s already doing a great job with her crate and sleeps through the night. She’s looking for a loving family who will be patient as she learns, help her build confidence, and give her plenty of affection and encouragement.
