Story
Teddy will be 4 this coming fall. I acquired Teddy from a co-worker that could no longer keep him. He is not the right fit for our home. This is mainly because he has become aggressive with my other dog, and therefore, he should be the only dog in the home. Teddy gets along well with our cat. Full disclosure: Teddy bit me the first week I had him. He was still a puppy then and hasn't bitten anyone since. I think I scared him when I went to pick him up from behind. Teddy has a lot of energy and would love to be able to work on a farm. He is completely housebroken and shows off his tricks for a treat. He needs a way to be contained outside (fence) or he will wander off to greet the neighbors. Corgis have big personalities and he needs firm boundaries. An apartment would not be suitable for Teddy. He loves to play with older kids, but small kids make him nervous, and he should not be adopted by anyone with small kids. Overall, he lays in his crate most of the day by his own choice.

Story
Name: Kaylee Ann Age: 3 years Breed: Siberian Husky mix Size: 44.3 Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Kaylee Ann! The perfect combination of grace, calm, and a heart full of love! Kaylee Ann is a beautiful 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix who arrived at HSSM on November 12th, 2025, after being found as a stray in Biloxi by animal control. Since her arrival, she has completely stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers alike with her gentle soul, calm nature, and wonderfully well-rounded manners. Kaylee walks on her leash like an absolute lady—graceful, confident, and just a touch sassy with every step. Her calm, cool demeanor makes her a fantastic family dog, especially for those looking for a companion who brings peace and warmth into the home. She loves spending time in the yard soaking up sunshine and fresh air, and she’s happiest when she’s close to her people. Bonus: her kisses are truly top tier. While Kaylee Ann enjoys companionship, she’s also content entertaining herself when needed, making her a great match for households with busy days but loving evenings. She would thrive in a calmer home where she can relax with her favorite humans, though she’s always up for the occasional new adventure. Kaylee is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. She has tested positive for heartworms, but don't let that stop you from giving Kaylee the care she needs to live a long, healthy life. If you’re searching for a loyal, loving companion with a peaceful presence and a heart of gold, Kaylee Ann may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Story
Name: Shiloh Age: 8 months Breed: Corgi mix Size: 23 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Say hello to Shiloh! Shiloh is eight month old mixed breed sweetheart and she is ONE SMART COOKIE! Unlike some of her shelter besties in playgroup who might be a little slow to pick up on basic training, Shiloh LOVES to learn new tricks. And she picks them up FAST. The person here that has taken her on as their project dog is always impressed at how quickly she learns. She already knows sit, stay, down, give paw, and loves a game of fetch. She is also great with other dogs and keeps up with the energy no matter how high. She would make a great working dog or hiking/running companion especially since she is basically still a pup. Don't get us wrong - she loves to snuggle too so really she's the best of both worlds. She's fixed, heartworm negative, and ready for her next adventure with you! ****LOCATED IN MISSISSIPPI - TRANSPORT UPON ADOPTION***** Shiloh's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you.
