Story
Meet Aussie! 🐾 Aussie is a 4-year-old Corgi/Welsh mix with the cutest little low-rider legs and a personality that will steal your heart. She’s an all-around wonderful girl who truly loves being part of a family. Aussie is amazing with kids and babies and has a gentle, patient nature that makes her a great companion for a busy household. She does well with other dogs but can be a little growly when setting her boundaries, so she would do best with a dog that understands and respects her space. She loves to run and play, but she’s also a couch potato at heart and is just as happy relaxing with her people after a good walk. Aussie enjoys getting outside for daily walks and adventures, then settling in for snuggles afterward. Aussie is crate trained, housebroken, and well-mannered, making her an easy addition to a home. She does well with cats, livestock, and respectful dogs. She is also very food motivated, which makes her a fun and eager learner. Aussie does have a beef allergy, so she will need to stay on a beef-free diet. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped—ready to find a family who will love her as much as she’ll love them. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with adorable short legs and a big heart, Aussie might be your perfect match. 🐶💕

Story
Shirley is an 8-year-old Corgi mix with the sweetest soul and the softest heart. This precious girl just wants to be near her people — whether that’s curled up on the couch, resting her head in your lap, or quietly following you from room to room. She is truly a cuddle bug through and through. Shirley is deaf, but don’t let that fool you — she navigates the world beautifully and bonds deeply through touch, routine, and love. Deaf dogs are incredibly special, and Shirley is no exception. She’s attentive, intuitive, and so eager to connect. Once she learns your signals and routine, she’s as easy as they come. She is fully housebroken and crate trained, making her an absolute dream in the home. No chaos, no drama — just a calm, loving companion who wants a soft place to land. Shirley would thrive in a home that appreciates a laid-back, affectionate best friend who is past the puppy stage and simply ready to enjoy life. At 8 years young, she’s in that perfect sweet spot — mature, gentle, and wonderfully easy. Her adoption fee is $400, and she is more than worth every penny for the love and devotion she will bring to her forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance, heart-melting companion, Shirley is your girl. 💛

**Avaliable by appointment only (currently in foster home)**Meet Sky — your next adventure buddy!Sky is a spunky, medium-energy husky who’s always ready to hit the trail, chase the snowflakes, or zoom around the yard just for fun. True to her breed, she’s curious, clever, and full of personality! Sky loves to explore the great outdoors and play with her doggy friends, but she’s just as happy to flop down afterward for some well-earned cuddles.Sky does have a very sensitive tummy, so she’ll need to stay on her prescription Z/D food and take a daily probiotic to keep things running smoothly. But don’t worry—this adventurous girl doesn’t let anything slow her down!Because of her strong husky prey drive, Sky would do best in a home without cats or livestock. She is, however, always open to meeting new dog friends—she’s made plenty during her stay here at KVHS!If you’re looking for a beautiful, talkative, and fun-loving husky to share life’s adventures with, come meet Sky at the KVHS! She’s ready to steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch).
