Have you seen my picture? I look a little forlorn, but that’s just the camera angle. I am the sweetest fellow who is very willing to learn whatever you’d like to teach me. The folks here think that I may be somewhat hard of hearing so if you have children at home, I’d do best if they are ten years old or more. I would love to go home with someone who has another dog. I love to make doggy friends and human friends too. Am I special? You bet I am! Please come to see if we’d make a good fit.

Maya is a beautiful Malamute mix with a fluffy coat and stunning eyes. This gorgeous girl found her way to one of our transfer partners with serious injuries. She healed up and is now ready to find her forever home. Maya loves other dogs, but can be a little shy with new people. She warms up quickly with some patience and soft approach. Once she knows you, she will be your shadow and best friend. She loves resting her head on your lap, and playing with her people. Because she can be a little hesitant with new people, she would prefer a home with children over 13 who are savvy with dogs. Come meet Maya today and fall in love!
