You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LOVEY DOVEY hails from the Northern community of Sandy Lake and came south with her two sisters, Honey Bunch and Sweetie Pie and they’re named the Valentine Trio. She’s now looking to find her forever home. She’s received her first two sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and has been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. We really don’t know the size she’ll grow to be as we have no information on either parent. The same can be said about the breeds we’ve stated as we just go by what she looks like. There is a picture of her with her 2 siblings and they look to be Lab mixes but that’s just a guess. She’s the smallest one in the litter and she loves to cuddle and sleep in her foster’s lap. As much as she loves her sisters and playing with them she will wander off and do her own thing too. She’s the observant one in the litter and will sit back to observe what the other two are up to. She’s currently teething so she has lots of chew toys including Nyla bones to keep her little teeth busy.  LOVEY DOVEY’s crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night and will also nap in it during the day too. House training is a work in progress still and that’s mainly due to the very cold weather. When she’s taken outside for a bathroom break she simply turns around and wants back in the house again. She is working on it though but in the meantime she uses pee pads in the home. She’s only just started to go for short walks and like all puppies she’ll excitedly race ahead of you. She enjoys her food and has just been introduced to treats which she also loves. She does have good manners and will “sit” for her meals and also take her treats “gentle.” LOVEY DOVEY’s ideal family has to have Husky experience as although she’s a very gentle girl right now, the older she gets the more challenging she’ll become. They should also be an active one that loves the outdoors as we know once she’s a bigger girl she’ll love to be outside and want to be adventurous and go on hikes and long walks on the trails. She does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for her. There’s no other dog (than her sisters) in her foster home so if there is one in her new home they should be gentle and calm. It’s recommended that a slow introduction be made between them as well and the dog kept leashed for the first initial introductions. She should do well with a cat as she is fostered with one. She can be an only pet in the home provided she’s not left alone for long periods of time every day. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving, gentle and kind towards animals. She does require a fenced-in yard so she can be kept safe while she has a run around and play. LOVEY DOVEY, like all puppies, is cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We do need her adopter to be in agreement to take her for puppy/obedience training to help her to become the best girl possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spayed by the time she’s 6 months of age. The surgery will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. In order for the rescue to do so we need the spay requirements to still be followed plus a copy of the procedure invoice and a picture of her (preferably in her onsie or cone) in order to do the reimbursement. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.VIKING hails from the Northern community of Pikangikum and came south with his sister, Saxon and he’s now looking to find his forever home. He’s received his first two sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and has been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. We really don’t know the size he’ll grow to be as we have no information on either parent. The same can be said about the breeds we’ve stated as we just go by what he looks like to us. This poor boy was found quite literally freezing to death along with his sister on a freezing cold night. Frostbite was just starting to set in on his extremities, tail, ears, under his arms, tummy and even his penis Luckily someone saw the pair freezing in the cold and brought them into their home. We’re pleased to say that he has no ill effects from the frostbite and he’s healed right up. VIKING’s a super soft little guy both in personality and his lovely coat. He’s the gentlest little soul you could ever imagine and he’s super smart too. He’s definitely the one to take a step back from something new rather than a step forward. He’s slowly getting more comfortable being out in the snow but he wasn’t a fan of being out in the evening when it was snowing and dark as he did his business and ran for the door to get back inside again. He loves to explore and play with all his stuffies and it’s not unusual to see him surrounded by at least half a dozen at a time. He also loves to play with anything that squeaks, chew on his Nyla bones and throw his rope toys around. He won’t like this being said about him but he’s such a baby and one of the most loveable puppies his foster has ever known. He’ll put one paw on each of your shoulders and just snuggle right into you. VIKING’s excellent in his crate and goes in it at night and sleeps without a peep. He has been up the odd night for a bathroom break but he’ll go right back into it afterwards and go straight back to sleep. He’s not such a fan if it in the daytime though and will bark for a bit when he’s put in it. nap in it House training is going very well and being the smart little guy that is, be’ll cry to go outside for a bathroom break.
