Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl eager for fresh start and love! LILYANNE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet LilyAnne and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (6/14) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Rockville, MD (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!   Name:  Lilyanne          Best Guess for Breed: Husky/Shepherd mix   Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of June 2026          SEX:   female   Approximate Weight: 35lbs as of 4/5/26   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Lilyanne is Looking For:   This young girl has had a hard start and all she is looking for is a warm, safe, loving home to call her own. Lilyanne would love going for nice long walks, playing with other dogs, and learning how to be the goodest girl you've ever met. Lots of treats, a warm cozy bed, and belly rubs would go a long way to making this girl happy.  What My Foster Says About Me:  Lilyanne has been a treat to have in our home! She is surprisingly affectionate for a husky and loves to give kisses or rest her head in your lap for a nap. Lily plays very nicely with our resident dog and also enjoys throwing her toys in the air for herself! She is very smart and has learned commands in just a few days. Lilyanne seems to be great with other dogs and kids. She walks nicely on a leash and loves to go for walks with her people. She has just enough husky/shepherd personality to make you laugh, but she is ultimately a very good girl that anyone would be lucky to have! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.beautiful, dignified girl looking for a home to spend her golden years in! SAPPHIRE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Sapphire         Best Guess for Breed:  Husky Best Guess for Age:  8 years old as of March 2026         SEX:   female   Approximate Weight:  41lbs   Gets Along With: Sapphire has lived with both cats and dogs in her foster home and done well! We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! We do not recommend her for a home with kids.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Sapphire is Looking For:  Her forever home! Sapphire is an awesome girl in her prime as an adult, all about being by her humans' side for all those adventures. Sniffy walks, leisurely strolls in parks, world exploration - yes, please! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed would be great too, but you know what she wants most of all? To know where she belongs, to know she's safe and loved. She promises so many adoring gazes, so much love and loyalty in return. What do you say? Is she the companion you have been seeking?   What My Foster Says About Me:  Sapphire has settled in nicely! She is such a sweet girl. She loooves peanut butter and, although she will accept other food if she must, she prefers her meals be warmed up chicken. She says, 'it's my golden years I must be treated accordingly!'  She's done well living with both my dogs and cats. She is going to be such a great addition to a family that wants to spoil her and treat her as the queen she is :) Adapted quickly and gets along with my household cat and dog. She is a sweet girl with lots of love to give. Don’t let her fool you, she likes to walk like an old lady, but gets the zoomies as if she were a 3yo pup again. After a day of adventures and sniffy walks, she will then sleep like it were an Olympic sport. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Meet Ricky, a stunning Siberian Husky with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and endless enthusiasm for life! This handsome boy is happiest when he’s on the move, whether it’s exploring hiking trails, going for a run, or playing an energetic game of tug-of-war or fetch with his favorite tennis ball. Ricky is incredibly people-friendly and loves soaking up attention. He enjoys being petted, brushed, and spending time with his favorite humans. He’s also very treat-motivated and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for continued training. Ricky has done well meeting other dogs and enjoys having canine companions to interact with. Ricky would do best in a home that understands resource guarding and is committed to continuing positive reinforcement training. Careful management during mealtimes and with toys will help set him up for success. As an energetic Husky, Ricky thrives with an active lifestyle. He can happily accompany you on long walks—5 miles barely slows him down! Ricky is ready to find a family that will embrace his adventurous spirit, continue his training, and give him the love and structure he deserves.
