Hi! I’m Dixie and I am just as cute as can be! I’ve just arrived from Alabama. I was very happy to see my brother in the same foster home! My foster mom thinks that I’ve never been in a home before but I’m adjusting pretty quickly. It only took 2 days to master the stairs. I was so excited cuz now I get to sleep in the big bed with my human mom and dad! I’ve only had one accident the very first night of being in my new home, I was just kinda nervous. My foster mom says I’m getting so much better getting leashed up and walking everyday. My doggy brother is bigger than me and he lets me jump on him all the time. He is so gentle and good to me! He spoils me!I would do best with another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I would do best with a fenced in yard. Please give me a chance and I will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty!***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Dixie is heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment. Once her treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized and it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a microfilaria test 30 days after treatment for a preliminary result. Then, a heartworm test 9 months after treatment for final results. It is recommended that she continues getting tested for heartworm annually. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise until she receives a negative microfilaria test. Dixie will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. This will all be covered by Warrior Dog until her last injection. Any other medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. If you are interested in adopting Dixie, please fill out an adoption application. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. Hello! My name is Diesel and I am 105 pounds of pure love! My family calls me the gentle giant! They say I am so patient, calm, and handsome!! I came to Minnesota from Alabama recently so I’m still learning the ropes of what it is like to live in a home. I overheard my human mom tell my human dad what a good boy I am. I let my doggy sibling jump on me all the time and she even gets crabby but I just take it like a good boy. She takes my toys and bones from me too. My mom has never once been worried about me. I love my walks and I will pee all the time on walks (I have never had an accident in the house!) but unfortunately I haven’t learned to do job #2 while walking. That’s why my family says I need a fence. I was nervous going up and down the stairs at first but I only needed gentle encouragement. I can do these no problem now!One more thing I’m working on…..going in the car!! Yep, I’m not comfortable with car rides. I don’t like getting in the car. Hopefully just need a little more time with these things. I know I will give you unconditional love forever and ever! Hello! My name is Dillyn Mae and I’m a very pretty girl who just arrived from Alabama!! I was very happy to join 2 of my siblings already at my foster home. I’ve been around a lot of dogs my first year of life so I think I would do best if I can have another dog to love. My human mom thinks I’ve never been in a house before but she says I’m doing great! I’ve learned to go up the stairs and I even sleep in the big bed with my human family! I need more time on the leash, I’m still nervous walking on leash but can you blame me?
