If you're looking for a dog who will make you feel VERY loved, Snow may just be your girl! This beautiful 2-year-old girl weighs around 40 pounds and has the most gorgeous blue eyes. And can we talk about her eyeliner?! It makes those beautiful eyes POP! Snow came to us as a stray after a kind citizen found her on a busy street and simply couldn't leave her behind. He brought her safely to the shelter, hoping her family would come looking for her, but sadly, no one ever came to claim this sweet girl. Snow is incredibly affectionate and loves giving her people plenty of love. She can be a little unsure around other dogs, and we're not sure if she simply hasn't had much experience with them. She takes some time to warm up, so we think Snow would be happiest as an only dog or with a very calm, laid-back canine companion who won't overwhelm her. Snow is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She's ready to find the person who will give her the love and security she's been waiting for. Meet Sebastian! This HANDSOME boy is on the hunt for a place to call home! Sebastian was picked up by one of our deputies and safely transported to the shelter. He patiently waited through his stray hold, hoping his family would come looking for him... but sadly, like so many dogs, his owner never came forward. And honestly? We just can't understand how anyone could let this GOOD BOY slip away! Sebastian is incredibly sweet, well-mannered, walks beautifully on a leash, and is just an all-around wonderful dog. Sebastian is around 2 years old and weighs about 70 pounds, and we think he may be a Great Pyrenees/Husky mix. What do you think? He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. One little thing did show up during his medical exam; Sebastian is heartworm positive. But don't let that scare you! We've already got his heartworm treatment scheduled and are taking care of it. Hi, I'm Rosemary, and I'm hoping you're the person I've been waiting for! I'm a stunning little Husky mix, weighing in at around 30 pounds, and I'm about 2 years old. I was found running around on the street, and one of the shelter's Humane Officers was called to help me. They were able to find me and safely bring me to the shelter, where I waited patiently for my family to come looking for me. But... no one ever did. I'm not going to let that get me down, though. I know my right family is out there, and until they find me, I know I'm safe here. Now, before you fall completely in love with my pretty face and beautiful Husky looks, there's something you should know about girls like me: Huskies are energetic, sometimes vocal, and our beautiful coats need regular brushing. Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Lou is an 8-month-old female Husky mix who will need to be spayed before adoption. She was brought in by city animal control after being found in a neighborhood. This pretty girl has a medium-length black coat with cream markings and weighs 37 pounds, making her a medium-sized adult dog. Lou should do well in a home with other dogs and children, but absolutely no cats. Huskies are known for their even temperament, love of the outdoors, and knack for escaping, so her new home will need a strong, secure fence. As an active breed, Lou will need regular exercise and would thrive with an active family. She’ll do best with someone who has the time and energy to commit to her needs. With patience and attention, Lou has great potential to become a wonderful companion.  Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Surrendered to us by her owner along with two littermates.  Given her breed mix be prepared for higher energy, inquisitive, adventuresome, busy gal - unlikely to be a couch potato.  She is a bit shy at first but very sweet and will be an outgoing party gal once in a family where she can develop her confidence.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).
