Story
Snow White was rescued by a kind “apartment dweller” who found her in her complex! Her rescuer kept her for a few days hoping to find her owner, but had no luck. So she brought Snow White to the shelter hoping she could find her owners or find a new home. Snow White has all of her vaccinations, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. Unfortunately, Snow White tested positive for heartworms. Fortunately, we have her already scheduled for treatment!! Snow White is a three-year-old husky mix. She is “drop dead” gorgeous! Fill out that application online and then come meet her! She will be stunning on your family Christmas cards this year!!

Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Penelope is an 8-month-old female Husky mix who will need to be spayed before adoption. Found as a stray in the county, she’s a true beauty with a light tan coat and white markings. Weighing 42 pounds, she’s a medium-sized pup with a playful, outgoing personality who never meets a stranger. She’s a hit with the other dogs in the play yard, and everyone wants to be her best friend. Penelope is just as great with kids and seems very smart, always observing everything happening around the shelter. If she sticks around much longer at PAHS, she might just start answering the phones herself.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.*****June 15, 2026, 6:00 pm

Story
Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Lou is an 8-month-old female Husky mix who will need to be spayed before adoption. She was brought in by city animal control after being found in a neighborhood. This pretty girl has a medium-length black coat with cream markings and weighs 37 pounds, making her a medium-sized adult dog. Lou should do well in a home with other dogs and children, but absolutely no cats. Huskies are known for their even temperament, love of the outdoors, and knack for escaping, so her new home will need a strong, secure fence. As an active breed, Lou will need regular exercise and would thrive with an active family. She’ll do best with someone who has the time and energy to commit to her needs. With patience and attention, Lou has great potential to become a wonderful companion.  Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.
