Story
UPDATE!&#226&#156&#168 Meet Millie! This sweet girl was surrendered to us from a not so good situation. She’s an adorable shepherd/lab mix. She’s 3-4 months and right at 15 lbs. She’s sweet and outgoing.  She’s settling into foster care and doing amazing. She loves other pups and her people. She is utd, spayed and ready for her forever home!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you! Story
Petra is a female 7 year old 55 pound Husky/German Shepard mix looking for a great place to call home. She is house trained and knows basic commands. Petra loves to lay on the floor or couch next to you and will follow you everywhere. Petra loves to run and hike too, she will hike a mile no problem. Even at 7 years old she wants to run and walk more than any other dog I have.  The Husky in her calls for her to be an adventurer so she is a  jumper and will need a 6 ft wooden fence to ensure she will not get out and explore on her own. She loves to ride in the car and go places but also enjoys just sitting at home and napping. Good with cats and dogs. Adoption fee $250, Application required, link below.https://form.jotform.com/252557613883163  January 8, 2026, 7:37 pm

Story
This is saylor! She is a wonderful dog and super sweet and gentle! I got her at the gulf coast humane society. She is INSANELY smart and loves to run. She is a character (as all husky’s are!). I would describe her as that sassy cousin who loves attention and room to run. She is five years old and loves cheese. I’m looking for a home where she can spend more time with her family. My job has gotten a bit too hectic and I can’t spend the time she deserves. She is great with kids and listens and obeys
