Story
I am a year old puppy and have been re-homed once. Looking for a loving family that can keep up with him as he has a very interactive personality. He loves to go on walks and give snuggles. He is a very smart dog and is house trained for the most part. He knows basic commands, but is a little stubborn.

Story
Oz (A134259) is a 10-week-old AK Husky puppy who weighed 14.19 pounds on intake! 04/22/24 These cute little puppies were found abandoned in a box. A good Samaritan brought them to the shelter in hopes that they could find their new loving families. In typical puppy fashion, they will need help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, continued positive socialization, and so much more! They are babies, after all! Puppies are a lot of work but 100% worth the effort! If you are interested in meeting any of these adorable little pups, please let us know! April 25, 2024, 9:28 pm

Story
Jarvi (A134191) is a 2-year-old alaskan husky mix who weighed nearly 50lbs at intake!04/13/24 This little girl with a sweet smile is Jarvi! She came to the shelter via the unmonitored dropoff kennels overnight with incomplete paperwork. Unfortunately, this means we do not know much about her history. Jarvi is said to be a sled dog that was too slow for the sprint team she was on. She may enjoy being on a rec team or even a slower, distance team! Since she arrived at the shelter, care staff have noticed a few things about Jarvi: 1) She LOVES to smile! 2)She may possibly be kennel trained, as she spent all night in the dropoff kennel and didn't even disturb her newspaper and desperately held her pee all night long. It appears Jarvi has lived outside most of her life, so she may need help learning the fine parts of being an inside dog, such as potty training and not jumping on counters. Jarvi is very treat motivated and takes them very gently. She will probably be a quick study in basic obedience with a certified trainer! While Jarvi's paperwork did not say much, it did mention that she runs in swing and wheel in the team. She may turn into a perfect little skijor companion that wants to cuddle up on the couch after! Please remember that huskies are a high energy breed and just because Jarvi didn't make the cut for the team does not mean she is an exception. Prospective adopters should be ready to meet her energy needs both physically and mentally. If you are interested in adding this sweet girl to your home, please give the shelter a call!April 25, 2024, 9:28 pm

Story
Kiba did arrive to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was never picked up by his previous owner. Kiba has been friendly towards other dogs and appears to want to play! We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed. Introductions to new animals should be taken slowly for the best outcome! Kiba is a very sweet and happy boy. He loves getting outside to play and is always happy to make a new friend! Kiba has medium energy and will be happiest with regular exercise. Balls and stuffies have been his toys of choice. Kiba has done well with handling and loves all the attention he can get. He has been gentle with taking treats and loves to learn! Kiba appears to be potty trained, but is asking for grace while he is adapting to his new home. He also walks well on a leash and knows his basic cues including “sit”, “down” and “shake”. Kiba could make a great adventure buddy and has a go with the flow attitude. He has been a blast to have in the shelter, but it is his time to find his forever home!

Story
Smoke (A133905) is a 9-year-old Alaskan Husky who weighed 50 pounds on intake!04/01/24 Smoke went to an amazing foster to further explore his behaviors in a home setting. He was said to be a bit shy at first but does not avoid or bolt from people. Once comfortable, he will even inch his way into your lap for some extra pets! Smoke did great in a harness and enjoyed going for a short run on a dog team! He has also tolerated his nails being trimmed, but grooming isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t his most favorite activity. His foster felt that he has great pet potential and we would love to see him find his new place to call home! 03/21/24 Smoke was surrendered to the shelter with his friend Cleo because their prior owner could no longer care for him. Smoke had lived with his prior owner for 4-years, but his life before them is unknown. Smoke was said to be kennel trained and housebroken (will pace by the door). He was also said to know a few basic commands like sit, down, and bedtime! Smoke can be timid around strangers initially but warms up quickly. Smoke was described as a sassy dog who enjoys his routine! He was also known to work his way onto your lap if youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re sitting down! Cuddle bug for the win! Smoke does have a few naughty habits like digging/chewing, getting into the trash, and jumping fences when unsupervised. He is looking for an owner who can keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. Donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t let his age fool you; this boy is still up for going on daily adventures! Smokeâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s prior owner mentioned that he does not like his feet being touched and that it can be a bit snippy once his tolerance level is met. If you are interested in meeting Smoke, please let us know! April 25, 2024, 9:28 pm

Story
Champ arrived to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was not picked up by his owners. It is unknown if Champ has lived with other animals or children. During his time in the shelter he has been very friendly, tolerable of all kinds of handling and is always happy to go wherever it is we’re going! Champ has good manners and is a very good boy. He does appear to be potty trained, but is asking for grace while he learns your routine! Champ knows his basic cues and walks well on a leash. He is typically interested in everything around him when going on a walk and does tend to let his nose lead the way though! Champ has done well around the other dogs, but can be standoffish towards other males dogs sometimes, especially if they appear rambunctious. He may do best with a female friend, but we can provide a dog meet and greet for anyone if needed! Champ is a large, lovable guy who is hoping to find his forever home. If he sounds like the guy for you we would love for you to come by and meet him!
