If you’re searching for a gentle soul with a heart just as big as she is, Alexandria may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Alexandria is the definition of a gentle giant. Sweet, calm, and incredibly kind, she has completely won us over with her quiet charm and loving personality. She carries herself with beautiful manners that suggest she once knew the comforts of home, making it all the more surprising that no one came to reclaim this wonderful girl. Alexandria has been a friend to everyone she’s met. She enjoys meeting new people but has a peaceful, easygoing nature that makes every moment with her feel relaxing. She’s happiest taking life at a slower pace—whether that’s enjoying a leisurely stroll, soaking up the sunshine, or leaning in for plenty of scratches from her favorite people. She has a friendly and respectful demeanor towards the other dogs and is always willing to say hi. We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed! Alexandria had done great during all dog meet and greets so far! She appears to be potty trained, as she keeps her kennel nice and clean. Alexandria also walks beautifully on a leash and knows the cue “sit.” More than anything, she loves being close to her people. Whether she’s quietly walking beside you or simply resting at your feet, she finds comfort in connection and companionship. Alexandria is truly one of those dogs who leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. She has so much love to give, and we know she’s going to make one very lucky family feel complete. Lela is currently in a foster home. If you’re interested in meeting her, please give us a call so we can coordinate with her foster family!Sweet Lela has spent much of her young life searching for the stability every dog deserves. We first met her when she was just six months old after she was surrendered to the shelter. Like everyone who loved her, we hoped her first adoption would be her forever home. Through no fault of her own, Lela has found herself looking for that special family once again. Fortunately, Lela has been able to decompress in a wonderful foster home, and it has been a joy watching her true personality emerge. The busy shelter environment was simply overwhelming for her, but in a home she blossoms into the goofy, carefree, and incredibly loving girl we always knew was there. While she’s naturally gentle, she’s become so much more confident once given the chance to settle in. Lela has done beautifully with other dogs. She’s respectful, kind, and does a wonderful job reading other dogs’ boundaries. She appreciates companions with a similar gentle play style, and we think she’d enjoy having a canine friend in her future home. As always, we’re happy to provide a dog meet and greet before adoption if needed. Lela will thrive best with regular exercise and playtime. She appreciates the great outdoors and playing a game of fetch! She also has excellent manners. Lela is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, knows the cues “sit,” “down,” and “shake,” and has done very well in a crate. She seems to appreciate having a safe, quiet space where she can relax and unwind. It’s important to remember that Lela will need a little time to adjust to a new home. She may be shy at first, but patience, consistency, and kindness go a long way with her. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through. She loves being close to her people, happily soaking up attention and enjoying the comfort of simply being together. Lela is the kind of dog whose heart is worth earning. If you’re willing to give her the time she needs to settle in, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal, gentle companion who has so much love to give.

J.D. came to us alongside who we believe to be his brother, Turk, and these two have been so much fun to get to know! J.D. definitely carries himself as the “big brother”—he is often the first to check out something new, making sure everything is safe and okay before anyone else follows along. But once he realized his big brother duties could be put on hold, J.D. showed us that underneath that confident exterior is an incredibly loving and sweet boy! J.D. has the cutest happy trots and wiggles to match his adorable face, and he is always happy to see his brother, Turk. When meeting other dogs, however, J.D. does tend to have a more confident and dominant personality, which means he may not be the perfect match for every dog. We are happy to accommodate a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption if needed. We would describe J.D. as a medium-energy guy. He enjoys going for walks, playing with plenty of toys, and exploring his surroundings, but his ultimate favorite thing? Butt scratches! And if you happen to give him a really good one, be prepared for the happiest zoomies afterward. J.D. is friendly and affectionate, though like any dog entering a new home, he will need some time to decompress, settle in, and learn his new routine. With gentle guidance, patience, and encouragement, we know he will continue to thrive. He walks well on leash, appears to be potty trained and knows the cues sit. J.D. may take his role as the “big brother” seriously, but he is ultimately just a sweet boy who wants to be loved, included, and reminded that sometimes he can let someone else handle the important stuff. We would love nothing more than to see J.D. find a home where he can relax, enjoy his people, and spend plenty of time doing what he does best—being a good boy and getting those well-deserved butt scratches!

She’s an outdoors enthusiast at heart: nothing makes her happier than long, long, long walks in the woods where she can run free, sniff every new scent, and explore to her heart’s content. If you enjoy nature, she’ll be your perfect companion. When she’s not adventuring, Chani loves a good game of tug‑of‑war with her favorite human or zooming around a big yard with new dog friends. She gets along well with other dogs outside the home but needs to be the only pet at home.— she can be a bit protective of her toys and food, and she appreciates having her space respected. One of Chani’s most endearing quirks is her “talking.” She’s a vocal girl who isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. Her grumbles can sound a little like growls, but they’re really her way of saying, “I disagree,” or “I have thoughts about this.” Anyone who loves a dog with personality will adore her.

She was rescued from the pound in Nov 2025. She is hilarious, sweet and gentle, potty trained, does well on leash, and knows a few tricks. She loves her people, and has separation anxiety that I unfortunately don’t have enough time to manage. I am a young, first time dog owner, full time employee, and full time student. I’ve tried everything from training to medication, but I just don’t have the time that she deserves. She would thrive in a home with land where she can run around, and also have plenty of exercise. It would also be ideal to have an experienced owner who can work with her and her anxiety.

Koda is a very good calm gentle boy!! I no longer can take care of him and afford to bring him to the vet. He has had a skin issue develop recently, I thought was due to either our hard water or diet but am unsure because some new growth has appeared. I believe he is due for shots so therefore my adoption fee is free. The funds can go towards his vet visit. I am also moving and will not be able to bring him along and want him to be in a good home he deserves with love and care.
