Story
Dune is an incredibly sweet girl with a gentle heart who has been working so hard to build her confidence. During her time at the shelter, we’ve watched her blossom into a happier, more trusting dog. While she’s made tremendous progress, it’s important for potential adopters to understand that Dune will likely be shy and nervous in new environments. She’ll need time, patience, and plenty of reassurance as she settles into her new home. Dune was recently adopted but returned after struggling with anxiety, especially when left alone. She’ll benefit from a family that can help her work through separation anxiety with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of encouragement. Providing her with healthy outlets for her energy through walks, playtime, and enrichment can help her relax, while crate training may give her a safe, secure space to decompress when her family is away. Dune didn’t have the opportunity to experience a stable home during her early life, so many everyday things are still new to her. She’s learning that the world isn’t so scary, and all she’s asking for is a little grace while she continues to grow. Once Dune knows she can trust you, she’s an absolute sweetheart who soaks up every bit of love and affection she can get. One of our favorite milestones has been watching her begin to approach new people on her own, needing only a little encouragement. Seeing her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to watch her continue that journey with a family of her own. Dune loves toys and playtime, especially Kongs and durable chew bones. She previously lived with her sister, Dawn, and the two played beautifully together. Dune is friendly with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, though she appreciates slow, proper introductions since she has a submissive personality. We want to make sure she always feels safe and comfortable. Life hasn’t always been easy for Dune, but through it all she has held onto her kind, loving spirit. She’s a truly special dog who deserves a family willing to see the incredible companion she is. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend and have the patience to help a deserving dog continue building her confidence, Dune just might be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Sweet Raven has one simple wish—to spend her golden years feeling comfortable, cherished, and surrounded by love. This gentle senior girl has an incredibly kind heart and has been winning us over more and more each day. Her favorite things include yummy treats, cozy snuggles, belly rubs, and leisurely strolls on warm, sunny days. When Raven arrived at the shelter, she was suffering from a severe untreated yeast infection that had likely been causing her discomfort for quite some time. After more than a month of receiving the care she deserved, Raven is feeling so much better and is well on her way to recovery. Her beautiful coat is growing back, her skin continues to heal, and she’s finally getting to enjoy life again. While Raven has made incredible progress, it’s important for her future family to know that she’s still healing. She is currently taking Apoquel and benefits from regular medicated baths to keep her skin comfortable. She’ll go home with both her medication and medicated shampoo to help her continue thriving. Raven coexists well with other dogs but is perfectly content soaking up the attention herself. She has never shown signs of being an anxious girl, though she can certainly be a little stubborn from time to time! Rain and muddy weather aren’t exactly her favorite things, and she’ll happily let you know she’d rather stay warm and dry. She has done wonderfully meeting new people, including children. Because Raven is a senior, she appreciates gentle handling, soft voices, and kind, respectful interactions that help keep her comfortable. Raven has been such a joy to care for, and we’re so grateful we could be here for her when she needed us most. Now, all that’s left is for this sweet girl to find a family who will love her through the rest of her healing journey. We truly believe the best chapter of Raven’s life is still ahead of her.

If you’d like to meet this sweet girl, please give us a call so we can coordinate with her foster family. If you’re looking for a dog with a heart of gold, Chloe just might be your perfect match. Chloe is as sweet as they come. She has a gentle, loving soul and absolutely adores her people. Whether she’s soaking up belly rubs, leaning in for a soft hug, or sneaking in a few kisses, Chloe’s favorite place is right by your side. Having previously lived the family life, Chloe has settled beautifully into her foster home. She has done wonderfully with children and continues to be a kind, patient companion to the kids in her foster family. Chloe is also quite the social butterfly! She recently joined us at an offsite adoption event where she happily greeted new people and charmed everyone she met. Chloe enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown herself to be a respectful, gently playful friend. She also has excellent manners, appearing potty trained and crate trained. She walks beautifully on a leash and already knows sit, down, and come—and she’s even mastering shake! Like any dog, Chloe will need a little time to settle into a new home, but we have no doubt she’ll blossom with love and patience. She’s ready to become someone’s very best friend. We absolutely adore our sweet Chloe girl.

Story
Chani is a spirited, lovable girl born in the winter of 2019, and she’s been making people smile ever since. She’s an outdoors enthusiast at heart: nothing makes her happier than long, long, long walks in the woods where she can run free, sniff every new scent, and explore to her heart’s content. If you enjoy nature, she’ll be your perfect companion. When she’s not adventuring, Chani loves a good game of tug‑of‑war with her favorite human or zooming around a big yard with new dog friends. She gets along well with other dogs outside the home but needs to be the only pet at home.— she can be a bit protective of her toys and food, and she appreciates having her space respected. One of Chani’s most endearing quirks is her “talking.” She’s a vocal girl who isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. Her grumbles can sound a little like growls, but they’re really her way of saying, “I disagree,” or “I have thoughts about this.” Anyone who loves a dog with personality will adore her.
