Story
Dune is an incredibly sweet girl with a gentle heart who has been working so hard to build her confidence. During her time at the shelter, we’ve watched her blossom into a happier, more trusting dog. While she’s made tremendous progress, it’s important for potential adopters to understand that Dune will likely be shy and nervous in new environments. She’ll need time, patience, and plenty of reassurance as she settles into her new home. Dune was recently adopted but returned after struggling with anxiety, especially when left alone. She’ll benefit from a family that can help her work through separation anxiety with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of encouragement. Providing her with healthy outlets for her energy through walks, playtime, and enrichment can help her relax, while crate training may give her a safe, secure space to decompress when her family is away. Dune didn’t have the opportunity to experience a stable home during her early life, so many everyday things are still new to her. She’s learning that the world isn’t so scary, and all she’s asking for is a little grace while she continues to grow. Once Dune knows she can trust you, she’s an absolute sweetheart who soaks up every bit of love and affection she can get. One of our favorite milestones has been watching her begin to approach new people on her own, needing only a little encouragement. Seeing her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to watch her continue that journey with a family of her own. Dune loves toys and playtime, especially Kongs and durable chew bones. She previously lived with her sister, Dawn, and the two played beautifully together. Dune is friendly with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, though she appreciates slow, proper introductions since she has a submissive personality. We want to make sure she always feels safe and comfortable. Life hasn’t always been easy for Dune, but through it all she has held onto her kind, loving spirit. She’s a truly special dog who deserves a family willing to see the incredible companion she is. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend and have the patience to help a deserving dog continue building her confidence, Dune just might be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Hi, my name is Yogi I am 3 years old, I am a great hunter of mice and squirrels. I love going for morning walks and running with a four wheeler. I groan, huff and talk a little when I am ready for my morning walk. I sleep like Sid from Ice Age...in the most comical positions imaginable. I am extremely mellow for a husky and not a barker. I have never been aggressive with people or other dogs...I just get grumpy and growly once and awhile. I have not picked up on the idea of barking to come inside. I am kennel trained. My current owner claps hands to call me since she cannot whistle! I love to go for rides in a car or truck. I love to destroy stuffies...10 minutes and that squeaker is out! I might fetch a toy once or twice and then I'm good. I would do well in a fenced yard or a home out in the country.

Story
We unfortunately are looking to rehome Duke to a family with no small/young children. He has become anxious around small kids resulting in him nipping at them and he is having a very hard time now that our baby is mobile. Duke is a super entergitc, down for any adventure guy. He loves long walks, hikes, biking, car rides and tug of war. He also winds down and loves to cuddle on the couch for movies or in bed at night. He would hike 11 miles or sleep 11 hours as long as he’s with his people. We rescued him 3 years ago and he has truly been the best companion. He is attached at the hip and wants to be wherever you are. You really can’t ask for a better friend. Duke is guessed to be around 6-7 years old but still plays and runs like a puppy. He is crate trained, house trained and knows all the basic commands. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. We are happy to provide his vet papers upon rehoming. We have two other dogs who he does great with.

Story
Chani is a spirited, lovable girl born in the winter of 2019, and she’s been making people smile ever since. She’s an outdoors enthusiast at heart: nothing makes her happier than long, long, long walks in the woods where she can run free, sniff every new scent, and explore to her heart’s content. If you enjoy nature, she’ll be your perfect companion. When she’s not adventuring, Chani loves a good game of tug‑of‑war with her favorite human or zooming around a big yard with new dog friends. She gets along well with other dogs outside the home but needs to be the only pet at home.— she can be a bit protective of her toys and food, and she appreciates having her space respected. One of Chani’s most endearing quirks is her “talking.” She’s a vocal girl who isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. Her grumbles can sound a little like growls, but they’re really her way of saying, “I disagree,” or “I have thoughts about this.” Anyone who loves a dog with personality will adore her.

Story
Suka is a joyful, 2‑year‑old spayed Lab/Husky mix with a heart as soft as her beautiful fur. Weighing in at about 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion — big enough for outdoor fun, small enough for couch cuddles. She is social with other dogs but cat skills are unknown.
