She’s an outdoors enthusiast at heart: nothing makes her happier than long, long, long walks in the woods where she can run free, sniff every new scent, and explore to her heart’s content. If you enjoy nature, she’ll be your perfect companion. When she’s not adventuring, Chani loves a good game of tug‑of‑war with her favorite human or zooming around a big yard with new dog friends. She gets along well with other dogs outside the home but needs to be the only pet at home.— she can be a bit protective of her toys and food, and she appreciates having her space respected. She was rescued from the pound in Nov 2025. She is hilarious, sweet and gentle, potty trained, does well on leash, and knows a few tricks. She loves her people, and has separation anxiety that I unfortunately don’t have enough time to manage. I am a young, first time dog owner, full time employee, and full time student. I’ve tried everything from training to medication, but I just don’t have the time that she deserves. She would thrive in a home with land where she can run around, and also have plenty of exercise. It would also be ideal to have an experienced owner who can work with her and her anxiety.

She has a funny high-stepping prance that makes everyone smile, and when she comes in for snuggles she rests her head gently on your knee and looks at you silently. She's not a vocal dog, and she tends to be a little timid around new people and animals but not stand-offish or unfriendly. It has been easy to find dogsitters because she is a joy to have around, and an excellent adventure buddy. She is a retired sled dog who can run for hours, or be happy spending most of the day hanging out with short excursions outside. She is very food-motivated and will get into anything smelly below snout-level, but she wouldn't get onto counters or furniture. She is loyal and affectionate but very adaptable, as her various owners have all spent part of the year travelling. She deserves a home where she will get lots of love and time outside. She likes living with other dogs as long as they aren't bullies- she is quite submissive.

Comet is an adorable, energetic two-year-old Husky/German Shepherd Mix, who loves the outdoors and will cuddle with anyone! Shy at first, he gets acquainted fast. Comet was acquired from a co-worker who was having financial trouble after having their third kid and needed to rehome their puppy. Unfortunately, due to ongoing mental struggles, and moving to Georgia soon, Comet will need a new, hopefully permanent home in Alaska to grow and get the love he deserves. Comet is a high energy breed, with a daily need for walks, entertainment, play, anything to keep him active. We've switched around his food a bit, but he seems to love the Purina One Adult formula. He loves dry and wet food, but we have him on dry for now. Comet is great around other dogs and kids, however I'm not sure how he holds up against cats. My only concern is his nails, as he hates getting them trimmed. Overall, if you want a playmate who will brighten your day and bring you on adventures, Comet is your guy!

Minnie is a 1.5-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who genuinely loves everybody and everything. She is amazing with kids and other dogs.She is super friendly, curious, and full of high energy. Minnie is a potential perfect hiking or running buddy, and she settles down nicely inside after a good walk. Her favorite thing is destroying salmon toys.Minnie is smart. She knows sit, stay, come, and is house trained, but is not yet fully trained. She has a lot of potential but needs structure and guidance. She is completely up to date on her shots. We love her so much, but our schedule is just too busy right now, and she deserves an active family who has the time to train her and give her the best life.

If you’re searching for a gentle soul with a heart just as big as she is, Alexandria may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Alexandria is the definition of a gentle giant. Sweet, calm, and incredibly kind, she has completely won us over with her quiet charm and loving personality. She carries herself with beautiful manners that suggest she once knew the comforts of home, making it all the more surprising that no one came to reclaim this wonderful girl. Alexandria has been a friend to everyone she’s met. She enjoys meeting new people but has a peaceful, easygoing nature that makes every moment with her feel relaxing. She’s happiest taking life at a slower pace—whether that’s enjoying a leisurely stroll, soaking up the sunshine, or leaning in for plenty of scratches from her favorite people. She has a friendly and respectful demeanor towards the other dogs and is always willing to say hi. We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed! Alexandria had done great during all dog meet and greets so far! She appears to be potty trained, as she keeps her kennel nice and clean. Alexandria also walks beautifully on a leash and knows the cue “sit.” More than anything, she loves being close to her people. Whether she’s quietly walking beside you or simply resting at your feet, she finds comfort in connection and companionship. Alexandria is truly one of those dogs who leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. She has so much love to give, and we know she’s going to make one very lucky family feel complete.
