Loving boy who almost always wears a smile on his face. He loves to play and is good around kids. He has brought us lots of joy and we hope he can find a good home to continue spreading that same joy. We would love to see him rehomed with his companion “Ruby” who is the female in the couch picture on the right. She is a husky lab but more on the lab side and she loves to cuddle. Diesel is 3 yrs and Ruby is 2 yrs.

Story
We got custody of her from a co-worker that was abusive towards her. he starved her and her only water source was a broken toilet. We have had her for a little over a year and a half. As long as new dogs are introduced correctly she will be okay. There have only been a few dogs she will not tolerate and they have all been big aggressive types. She is so sweet and sleeps so much! She does pull on the leash but she loves going on runs with me. She loves our cats and our other dog and has never been aggressive towards people. She has a lot of anxiety and will need someone that knows how to help her with that. We tried our best but after a year and a half we do not know how else to help her. She does not have accidents in the house but will in her kennel. I think it is anxiety related. She loves with her whole heart and is genuinely one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. Would be best with someone that works from home so she can get the time and help she deserves.

Story
Marley is a very sweet, playful and happy girl. She loves spending time with her people and has an easy going personality! Marley is a great mixture of cuddly and playful. She loves gentle hugs and is always more than happy to be petted! Marley will be happiest with regular exercise and could benefit from a big yard of her own to play in. Her favorite thing to do is play outside! Marley has lived with children and was said to do great with them. She is truly a social butterfly! Marley was surrendered due to food aggression- it is unclear if Marley or the other dog in the home had food aggression. Either way, it will be important for Marley to have her own space and bowls when eating! During her time in the shelter Marley has been friendly towards other dogs. She has a friendly demeanor when seeing them and usually play bows! We can provide a dog meet and greet prior to adoption if needed. It is unknown if Marley has lived with cats or other small animals, but considering that she is a husky we do believe she may chase them! Marley is well mannered. She is potty trained and crate trained. Her most recent owners only had her for a short time but never knew her to be destructive! Marley also walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “heel” and “come”. Marley is such a good girl and we have loved getting to know her better. If you would be a good fit for Marley we would love for you to come meet this sweet girl!

Story
Champ arrived to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was not picked up by his owners. It is unknown if Champ has lived with other animals or children. During his time in the shelter he has been very friendly, tolerable of all kinds of handling and is always happy to go wherever it is we’re going! Champ has good manners and is a very good boy. He does appear to be potty trained, but is asking for grace while he learns your routine! Champ knows his basic cues and walks well on a leash. He is typically interested in everything around him when going on a walk and does tend to let his nose lead the way though! Champ has done well around the other dogs, but can be standoffish towards other males dogs sometimes, especially if they appear rambunctious. He may do best with a female friend, but we can provide a dog meet and greet for anyone if needed! Champ is a large, lovable guy who is hoping to find his forever home. If he sounds like the guy for you we would love for you to come by and meet him!

Story
Kiba did arrive to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was never picked up by his previous owner. Kiba has been friendly towards other dogs and appears to want to play! We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed. Introductions to new animals should be taken slowly for the best outcome! Kiba is a very sweet and happy boy. He loves getting outside to play and is always happy to make a new friend! Kiba has medium energy and will be happiest with regular exercise. Balls and stuffies have been his toys of choice. Kiba has done well with handling and loves all the attention he can get. He has been gentle with taking treats and loves to learn! Kiba appears to be potty trained, but is asking for grace while he is adapting to his new home. He also walks well on a leash and knows his basic cues including “sit”, “down” and “shake”. Kiba could make a great adventure buddy and has a go with the flow attitude. He has been a blast to have in the shelter, but it is his time to find his forever home!

Story
Lola was surrendered with one of her puppies ( who has been adopted ). We unfortunately were not given much information on Lola’s background, but can tell you that she is sweet, outgoing and active! Lola has been friendly towards the other dogs in the shelter and may enjoy a friend. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Based on Lola being a Husky we do anticipate her chasing small critters, including cats. Lola was said to live with children previously and though she was friendly she did not always know her size! She has done great with handling and is always happy to be petted and hugged. You can imagine that Lola loves spending time outside and will be so happy to have her own yard! A fenced in yard may be beneficial. Lola tends to carry around toys and loves to have a variety of them! Lola could make such a fun adventure buddy and will thrive best with regular exercise. Lola has not had a regular routine in the shelter until recently and is asking for grace while she learns your homes routine! Lola does walk well on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “lay down” and “shake”. Despite everything this sweet girl has gone through she is still happy as can be! If you believe your home would be a good fit for Lola we would love for you to come by and meet her.

Story
Ruby arrived to the shelter as a stray and unfortunately was not claimed by her previous owners. Ruby is very friendly and has done great with meeting new people! She is very social and is always so wiggly when meeting someone new. It is unknown if Ruby has lived with other animals or children. Though she may jump up once in a while out of excitement, all around she is gentle and affectionate. We encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet her! Ruby has shown reactivity towards a couple other dogs - this is a more recent behavior and may be caused by stress. We can provide a dog meet and greet and do recommend one prior to adopting! She has done best around mellow and tolerable dogs. Ruby has medium energy and will be happiest with regular exercise. She loves going on walks! She has some great manners. Ruby is potty trained, walks well on a leash and knows the basic cues “sit” and “lay down”. We would not be surprised if she knew more cues! If your home sounds like it would be a good fit for Ruby we encourage you to come by and meet her!

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Jaeger is a well mannered and talkative adult malamute. Hes up to date on shots and vet visits and is looking to explore the state more with a loving family. Hes very particular about his space, so hes be best placed with a family with older/no children. Hes good with other dogs, but can be awkward at first. Kennel and house trained, His preference is a large fenced yard, but he does well on leash/lead. Jaeger is highly food motivated, as hes a little overweight but that doesnt stop him from smelling the outdoors. Jaeger doesnt mind if youre gone for work a good portion of the day, as long as he gets attention when youre home and a few walks a week. Hope you like the cold, because he enjoys basking in the snow more than any pup i know.

Story
Cedar is a little over 1yr, about 105lbs and loves people and attention. He is trained to sit, lay, stay, waits until told okay to eat, and is kennel trained. His recall is fairly decent until other people or animals are around (needs some work in public settings). He has a pretty decent energy level but if you talk him on long walks or hikes he will be super laid back for a day or two. He is not aggressive to people at all, however he is aggressive to other dogs around food, he will also chase cats just to play with them but isn't careful not to hurt them on accident with his large stature. I am looking for someone who will either not have him around other pets or can help train him to be less food aggressive. I'm not certain if he has a bit of an alpha complex but he always plays nice with other dogs at the parks. He's very sweet boy, a little stubborn but very food motivated for training, we just don't currently have the money and time to invest in training him.
