Story
McFly has had a bit of a rough start in life & could really use a champion.   He was adopted as a puppy during Covid so he was rarely alone & he also didn’t meet many people outside of his home.   This has resulted in a lack of socialization skills & suffering from some separation anxiety.   His family later went through some turmoil with major life changes & ultimately made the decision to return him.    The upheaval has left this sweet boy stressed & confused. Strengths:  -Smart, loyal boy who learns quickly-Great with women -Very gentle with children-Sweet & affectionate with people he knows-Does well with most other dogs, but can be selective -Has lived with cats-100% housebroken-Loves car rides Needs improvement: -Suffers from separation anxiety-Is wary of men, strangers & anyone with grey hair until he gets to know them -Protective of his food & needs to be separated from other dogs at feeding times-Can sometimes be jealous of the attention given to another dog instead of him   McFly needs some extra time to adjust to new people & situations.  But if given some space, patience, love & a bucketload of treats, he will befriend anyone.  He has made an impressive amount of progress since he’s been in our care and we have no doubt that with some more time & effort, he will blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be!  The thing that he wants the most and we’ve been struggling to provide is stability.  He requires a safe space with someone he can rely on.  Once his world stabilizes & he can relax, a lot of his issues will hopefully start to resolve. ##2008930##

Story
Rosie is a lovely young dog. She plays independently with her toys (and will also happily chew other things, so limiting access to items that aren’t hers is important). She plays beautifully with her foster brother, Husky, Jasper, and with other dogs. She responds well to corrections from Jasper and never escalates, just walks away and minds her business. Her leash walking is coming along nicely, though she still needs reminders about pulling. Her recall is good and improving; while it’s strongest when Jasper is nearby, she has also shown good independent recall at the park. She would do very well in a home with another confident dog, but could also thrive as an only dog with enough work, attention, and mental enrichment to keep her young mind busy.Rosie has been wonderful with every dog she has met at the park and has proven to be great with toddlers as well. Recently, she calmly allowed a 16-month-old to lie on her without concern—she simply stretched out and relaxed. She can be a little enthusiastic with face-licking, but responds well to correction and moves on easily.Rosie was an outdoor dog prior but is loving inside life and loves to snuggle and cuddle in warmth and comfort. She is learning on communicating when she needs to go outside, but gladly follows jasper out to do her business. Rosie is also crate trained. She really is one of kind and is just loving her new life. Anyone would be lucky to have her!

Story
This energetic young husky is full of adventure and always ready to explore. With a strong taste for the wild, he’ll thrive in a home with secure fencing and doors to keep his curiosity safely contained. His all-time favourite hobby is squirrel patrol, so a home without small critters is best. He would do well with older children and an active family that loves outdoor activities like hiking, running, or any fun adventures. Smart and independent, he’ll shine in a home with husky experience and an understanding of their spirited nature. He already knows sit, down, and shake a paw, and he takes his treats with perfect manners.Size: Medium 24kg/ 53lbsChildren: Children 16+ recommendedDogs: May do best with dogs of similar size and playstyleCats: Cats and small animals not recommended
