Story
ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Heeah Age: 6 yrs old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Husky Jindo mix Colour: Beige Weight: 18kg / 40 lb Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Heeah! I arrived at the city pound wearing an orange collar—clearly, I once had a home. But no one ever came looking for me, and I’m still not sure how I ended up all alone in the world. Thankfully, some kind-hearted rescuers saw past my confusion and loneliness. They gave me a second chance, wrapping me in safety and love. Now, I’m ready to begin a new chapter—with a forever family by my side. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to share it with someone special. Could that someone be you?   MY HEALTH - Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) - I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet, beautiful girl with a soft beige coat and a bubbly personality—like a toasted marshmallow come to life! I absolutely adore people and light up whenever someone gives me attention. I’ll happily trot over, tail wagging, just to soak up all the pets and love you’re willing to give. Yep, I’m a total attention seeker—in the best way! I have a soft spot for kids, too. I’m gentle and patient, and I’ll take treats from little hands with the sweetest care. I love being part of the action, whether that’s exploring the yard with my doggy friends or joining in on a good play session. I bring joy wherever I go and can't wait to share that joy with a family of my own!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS - With People: I absolutely adore people and thrive on human companionship. Whether you’re an old friend or someone I’ve just met, I’m always excited to say hello and soak up all the pets and attention you’ll give me. I’m especially great with kids! With gentle, respectful introductions, I’d be a wonderful addition to a family. I love greeting little ones with a wagging tail and happily accepting treats from their hands.   I may be full of energy and enthusiasm, but don’t let that fool you—I’m also a total snuggle bug. I love being close and don’t mind being picked up for a cuddle. And the best part? I don’t guard my food or toys around people—I’m just happy to share the love!   - With Dogs:  I’m a social butterfly who loves making new friends and playing with my dog pals—especially those close to my size. Playtime is one of my favorite things, and I can really shine when I’m with dogs who have good manners and know how to share the fun. That said, I can be a little sensitive around smaller dogs, especially black ones, and sometimes I’ll try to turn it into a chase game! It’s all in good fun, but I do best with mindful supervision and playmates who match my energy.   Even though I’m friendly, I won’t hesitate to stand my ground if another dog is being too forward or disrespectful—I know my boundaries, and I’m not afraid to speak up. Slow, respectful introductions are the key to helping me feel comfortable and confident with new furry friends.   When it comes to mealtime, I like to have my own space from smaller dogs. I can get a little protective of my food if other smaller dogs are too close, and I may growl to let them know I need some room. Don’t worry though—I'm just advocating for myself. Feeding me separately in a calm, supervised setting works perfectly and helps me enjoy my meals stress-free.   - With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown. Due to my strong prey drive, I would do best in a home without small animals.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a balanced energy level—full of enthusiasm for outdoor adventures and playtime, yet calm and content when it’s time to relax indoors. Whether it’s exploring the fresh air or snuggling up for a peaceful rest, I’m happy to go with the flow and make the most of both active moments and cozy downtime.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m a great walking buddy—I follow my handler closely and walk nicely on a leash, making every stroll a peaceful, happy time. Even though I’m a husky mix, I’m quite the quiet one—I rarely bark, which surprises a lot of people! I’m also very calm and cozy when resting in my kennel, showing just how well I can settle down.   When it comes to potty habits, I’m pretty flexible—I know how to go both indoors and outdoors. But I much prefer the fresh air outside to do my business, keeping my home clean and comfortable for everyone. I’m all about making life easy and enjoyable for my humans!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. - A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. - A family that can shower me with love and attention. - Understanding of my strong love for food and a commitment to helping me become more patient through positive reinforcement training. - Understanding of my high prey drive and willingness to guide me with positive reinforcement training to reduce chasing instincts, improve focus, and help me stay calm around small animals.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff always tell me I look so young for my age—and honestly, I still act like a happy little pup sometimes! I’m a sweet, joyful girl with a gentle heart who hasn’t let a tough past dim my light. I greet each day with a wagging tail, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring warmth, smiles, and sunshine into your life, I might be the one you've been waiting for!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Story
Sally would love to find her new family soon! To help, her adoption fee has been partially sponsored by generous donors!EHS volunteer comments: "I've walked her a couple times and she has made progress and has learned to be a great walker: looks back at you, has a great sit, shakes a paw, lays down (all without treats as a lure), and is housetrained. She'll be a great addition to your home if you love walking and adventuring out with a smart girl who likes to please.""Sally is the sweetest pup. She's the total package. She's not only beautiful but also incredibly smart and very eager to learn. She already knows a multitude of tricks and will happily show them off for a snack. She walks well on the leash and loves to explore and watch the birds. She will make a wonderful addition to any dog loving family and I don't doubt she'd love to explore the world right along side them! Sally enjoyed spending time on the trail and would happily accept a snuggle anytime it was offered. Her new family doesn't know it yet, but they're going to be so lucky to have chosen Sally!"This energetic gal is looking someone who can keep up with her playful spirit and help her learn some manners along the way. Sally's favourite thing in the word? Playing with other dogs! She thrives with a canine companion and will need a dog sibling in the home to help provide an outlet for her energy and keep her engaged. She's food-motivated and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for training classes to build her skills. Sally loves going for walks, playing to her heart's content, and especially enjoys squeaky toys! She's already housetrained and knows sit, down, and shake-she just needs a family ready to guide her as she continues to grow. If you're looking for a fun and lively companion, Sally might be the perfect match. Come meet her at the Edmonton Humane Society!https://youtu.be/qLpAjm9ixCYhttps://youtu.be/Qp4EzUa8Sjwhttps://youtu.be/PQLqTMGqlv8https://youtu.be/vgX-c1BYDM0 Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 26.7 Age: 0yrs 8mths 1wks

Story
i know, I look strong. Maybe even a little serious, with my big husky mix frame and striking face. But let me tell you a secret—inside, I’m soft. Really soft. I’m a quiet, gentle boy who just wants a calm place and a kind heart to lean on. I'm about 2 years old and weigh around 25kg (that’s about 55 lbs). I’ve been through more than most dogs my age should ever have to face. I used to be someone’s dog… but I was left behind. I spent a long, long time waiting at a city shelter—until one day, my name ended up on the final list. The “no more chances” list. That’s when I was rescued. That’s when hope came back into my life. Despite everything, I love people—so much. I’ll come right up to you, tail wagging, gently pressing my body into you like I’m asking, “Can I stay? Can you see me?” Whether you’re a man or woman, young or old, if you're human, you're someone I want to love. That’s just who I am. I’m also pretty cool with other dogs. I do especially well with female dogs, and I don’t make a fuss over males—I usually just mind my own business. I’ve been used to shelter life, so I know how to go potty in my kennel, but if you help me get into a good home routine, I’ll adjust smoothly. I’m smart like that. Walks? I love them. I try really hard to match your pace, and I pay close attention to how you move and guide me. I might need a little space if we meet certain male dogs on the street, but with a steady hand and a little guidance, I’ll stay right by your side. Always. I love toys. I love treats. I love gentle hands and quiet afternoons. I don’t mind the vet or taking medicine. I even wear my harness like a pro. If you’re new to having a dog, I’ll make it easy for you. I want to be the kind of dog who makes you wonder how you ever lived without me. I’m not here for loud chaos or constant action. I’m here to be the steady soul beside you—the one who walks quietly next to you in the park, the one who rests his head on your knee when you’ve had a long day, the one who comes when you call and stays when you need comfort. I'm Skull. And I’m ready to be your forever.

Story
This sweet girl is a charming little shepherd mix with the most gorgeous, soulful eyes that will melt your heart. She’s full of energy and would make an amazing adventure buddy, happily spending time by your side while you garden or explore the great outdoors together. She loves having her own space to roam in the yard but can get a bit overwhelmed by busy crowds and noisy streets, so a calm, peaceful environment is her happy place. With a gentle touch and plenty of patience, she’s ready to be your loyal companion on quiet strolls and cozy afternoons. This girl displays behaviors consistent with a dog who may have spent significant time outdoors or had limited socialization with people. She settles and jumps up for attention, using this behavior both to seek affection and to ask for help when she feels overwhelmed. She enjoys being outside and may benefit greatly from the companionship of a calm, secure dog to help her learn appropriate social cues.Due to her potential as a flight risk, off-leash parks are not recommended at this time. A private consultation will be required to ensure the right environment and support for her ongoing development. She is a medium sized dog at 45lbs.
