Story
Tequila came to our home when she was just 3 months old through a Facebook post. We decided to adopt her because my daughters wanted a puppy, and we adults also wanted one, so we took advantage of the opportunity. She's a very affectionate, playful, and gentle dog. She loves playing with children and, of course, adults. She has a lot of energy, being a mix between a 6-month-old puppy and a Husky/Labdog. The commands she understands are in Spanish, but she's very intelligent and can adapt quickly to any language. She loves eating apples and any kind of treat; she's a pure kibble puppy and is still losing her baby teeth. She likes having her belly rubbed. However, we realized that this specific breed of dog needs at least 2 hours a day to burn off some of its energy. We work between 8 and 12 hours a day and realized that she spends too much time indoors.

Story
Hi, I’m Buttercup PrincessAbout me: The instant my foster mom saw me she knew my name was Buttercup! As well as being beautiful I am smart, adventurous, strong, loving and loyal. I love life and want to live it the fullest. Whatever you are doing I am willing to try. I do love going for walks, hikes, and jogging (probably running but my foster mom is not that energetic hehe). I will cuddle on the couch with you or chill in my own space. I enjoy playing with the other dogs that live here. I leave the house cats alone but am a little too interested in the Guinea pig. Being a husky I am very intelligent which means I am pretty good at figuring out how to escape places. I will need a secure backyard. I am still learning about house training as I spent the first part of my life outside but I am good with using puppy pads. Likes: getting attention, going for walksDislikes: not getting all my energy out!Special request: secure backyard with a fence at least 5 feet. Story
2.5 year old Husky cross Chiquita is looking for her perfect home. Chiquita has had a hard start in life – wandering with her mum and siblings as a puppy to survive on food scraps, then survived a hurricane and now awaits a real life from the SPCA PV sanctuary. Chiquita is one of the most stunning dogs in the sanctuary, with her unique colouring and caramel eyes. She leans in for snuggles, and falls at your feet for belly rubs with guests to the sanctuary trying to get a taste for real life with someone who loves her as their own. Chiquita is playful and enjoys time with the puppies to feed off their youth. She can be selective with certain dogs, which is common for a girl of her age and we think she’d love a home all to herself. We would love to see her enjoying outdoor space in a cooler climate (Mexico is a pretty hot spot for a husky cross!). Chiquita happily visits regularly with cats – at times a bit excited around them. As she’s spent her early life in sanctuary she’s hasn’t had exposure to kids or big crowds. As a bigger girl, we’d love to see her land somewhere outside the big city. Chiquita weighs 55lbs, is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be her chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.
