Story
Maxine is a rescue from the streets of phoenix. She will be 5 years old on Halloween this year. She’s afraid of new people, but warms up a bunch once she trusts them. She loves other dogs and thrives in doggy daycare. I recently lost my husband and feel I’m ill equipped for dog ownership without him. I want Maxine to be able to run around and play and get all the love she deserves. She’s loving, goofy, outdoorsy, smart and sometimes stubborn. I wouldn’t say she’s a great dog to bring to the bar or anywhere there’s too many people, but she’s great around the home and playing with other pups.

Story
At just 8 weeks old, Jolene and her two siblings were found in a dumpster. Thrown away like trash. AZ Humane reached out to see if we had space. We don't usually take puppies-but Jolene was different. She has hydrocephalus—a buildup of fluid on the brain that gives the skull a dome-shaped appearance. She weighed just 2.6 lbs when we got her. Thankfully, Jolene's case is mild. Our neurologist confirmed she has no neurological symptoms, and said how she presents at 6 months will likely be how she stays long-term. She's currently 10 months old and bouncing around like any healthy puppy. If anything changes later, we'll step in to cover the cost of an MRI-even post-adoption. That's in writing. Jolene is adoptable because she has a clean bill of health, a plan, and a backup plan. Always. The only thing unusual about her now? Her size. She's teeny-just under 50 lbs at 10 months-and looks like a mini pony galloping around. She's a personal favorite. She's spunky, smart and calculating. She would make the best tiny adventure partner. She makes eye contact that'll stop you in your tracks, and she lives for the water! Jolene is an absolute dime piece. Her perfect home would include a family that wants a dog they can bring everywhere! She's off leash trained and is super social and loves everyone she meets. She would make a fantastic lake buddy! Story
Limeric is very timid but sweet once she feels comfortable. She is awkward with other dogs, she can seem to get along at first but they tend to dislike her eventually. She seems to be more people focused, wanting to play slap fight with you and bounce around howling with happyness. She is very talkative like a husky. House and crate trained, wonderful on leash, no pulling at all (unless she is scared and just needs patience while she calms down). Is timid meeting strangers, but she does find certain people she loves instantly, usually kids. Would prefer her to go with someone she loves. If she trusts you she is good at staying near you even off leash, though I have only tried in areas with no once else around, would need more training to be able to be offleash with distractions. She would be great with someone willing to give her time to bond with them!Guessed to be about two years. Spayed, shots up to date, microchipped. We rescue dogs to find them homes!

Story
Titan is a 1.5 year old Akita/Great Pyrenees. He's neutered, kennel trained, house trained, walks on a harness. Needs to be the only dog. He is not socialized, so scared of new things. But amazingly sweet after he warms up and listens well. Very eager to learn. Is food aggressive but only toward other animals.

Story
My friends say....- I am polite and tolerant with most big and small dogs but I may be selective as to whom I live with.- I can get excited and playful with cats. I will need to be monitored with them. If you have a scared or timid cat, I may not be the best match. My friends describe me as....- A friendly and confident boy. I love to meet new people.- My confidence makes me the best buddy to go out and explore with. I do need to be kept on a leash, though! - A goofy character who would probably do well in most family settings.
