Story
Hi, I’m Apollo! I was surrendered through no fault of my own when my owner could no longer care for me. I’m good with other dogs, kennel trained, partially house trained, and would be a great fit for an active family. I have no experience with cats or other small animals.I love to run and play and have lots of energy, so I need regular exercise and mental stimulation. I’d make an excellent running partner - I’ve gone on runs up to 15 miles! When I get excited, I can be a bit jumpy, and I’m not reliable off-leash.I enjoy tug, fetch, agility, water, and of course running. I’m very playful and can be vocal when I’m having fun. I previously lived with four other dogs, so I’m used to being part of a pack and would likely enjoy a canine companion.

Story
Cosmo is a super sweet boy, he just takes a minute to feel safe enough to get used to people. He was born at the onset of COVID in January of 2020, and was a stray for 2 years until I adopted him from Pima Animal Control in February of 2022, so he grew up without a lot of desensitization to other people or dogs. His favorite thing is to go out for adventures in nature. Physical exercise is important and necessary for him. He’s only about 50 lbs, but has big dog energy—great as a loyal protector. He’s crate trained and potty trained, and while he has a big bark, he has never attacked anyone or another dog since he’s been with me. He needs someone who can keep him in check and be the alpha however. It pains my heart to have to write this, bc we helped each other out a lot these past 4 years. I’m moving overseas and can’t take him with me, and trust that he will find the perfect owner to continue his life with. Please reach out if you feel like that’s you, like I did when I first saw him.
