Story
Meet Indigo – Your next adventure buddy and best friend. She is ready for her next beautiful chapter, and she has so much love to give. This sweet 8-year-old Husky mix weighs 48 pounds and is the perfect blend of loyalty, intelligence, and affection. Indigo is the kind of dog who fits easily into family life. She loves meeting new people and greets them with a friendly attitude. She also does well with children, other dogs, and even cats, making her an excellent companion for a variety of homes. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, Indigo would love to join you. She absolutely loves walks and has wonderful leash manners. Whether it’s hiking, camping, boating, exploring the neighborhood, or simply relaxing in the backyard, Indigo is happiest when she’s spending time outdoors with her people. She is completely house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, knows her basic commands, and is respectful inside the home. She enjoys interactive play like a fun game of tug-of-war with her favorite rope toy. Indigo is generally a quiet girl who rarely barks, but she has an adorable Husky-style howl that she uses to “talk” to you—especially when she’s excited for her morning walk. To keep Indigo safe, she will do best in a securely fenced yard with a fence at least five feet tall. She’s ready to become someone’s devoted companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, intelligent dog who will happily join you on life’s adventures and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, Indigo may just be the perfect addition to your family. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.July 23, 2026, 6:40 am

Story
Bubba is highly intelligent, super lovable, protective, and just overall a wonderful dog. He is housebroken. He will bark at the door to go out and he will bark to come back in. He understands pretty much anything I tell him. I wish I could keep him, but I just can’t. I would love to find him a wonderful loving home. He deserves the very best. He was abandoned about five years ago in this neighborhood. I moved here, April 1 of this year and about a month ago he became my dog. He moved into my home and I take care of him. My partner is allergic to dogs that shed so I’m unable to keep him.
