Story
He's was with me for about 5 years. I've owned him since he was a puppy and he has been a great friend to me. It's unfortunate, but I'm moving and won't be able to care for him properly. He is quite docile, and can get a little excited around new dogs, he doesn't bite, rarely barks, and is very good at letting you know when he needs to go potty or otherwise. I love him dearly and hope whoever finds adopts him can give him the proper care and attention he needs.

Story
Ritz is a fun-loving 2-year-old with lots of energy and an eagerness to learn. She’s currently working on her basic commands and learning how to walk nicely on a leash. With her enthusiastic personality, Ritz will thrive with someone patient who’s ready to help her polish her manners. The good news? Ritz takes corrections very well and is motivated to do her best—especially when treats are involved! She absolutely loves being outside, where she can burn off energy and enjoy the fresh air. With consistency, guidance, and plenty of love, Ritz has all the potential to become an amazing, well-mannered companion.Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

Story
Meet Luka, a big-hearted boy with energy to spare. Luka is striking, with one blue eye and one brown eye. He is a 2-1/2 year-old Siberian Husky and at 73 pounds, he is a strong, athletic boy with a playful spirit. He is the younger brother of Indigo, and like her, is looking for a new home where he can thrive. Luka is great with children and has a gentle, affectionate nature. He is still young and full of energy so he will do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can run, explore, and burn off his energy by running zoomies. Luka would love a home that understands the Husky mindset; smart, independent and always up for a challenge. Luka is neutered, heartworm tested (negative) and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Luka might be your perfect fit.You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.January 16, 2026, 6:11 am

Story
Scout is a beautiful, energetic husky mix. He came to us after he was found as a stray. He did spend some time in a home and we were able to learn some information about him. Scout has does well with adults and young children, he is very energetic though, so supervision is advised with young children. Scout aslo does well with other dogs and cats! He knows commands sit, down, roll over, come, and shake. He also seems to be house trained. Scout is super active so he will require a tall privacy fence. His estimated DOB is 11/16/2024. Come to our shelter and meet this sweet boy.Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.
