Story
Archie's 4 yrs old, 65lbs, UTD on vaccines, potty-trained, microchipped, & neutered! He's been going through a behavioral training program in Orange County, CA. Archie's ready for a home of his own! He was rescued from a very high-k*ll 'shelter' where he was deadlined due to space. He was scared at the 'shelter' where they used a catchpole on the dogs. He was then abandoned by a fraudulent 'rescue' that pulled him, & was later found in a hospital 8 months later with an embedded collar and was never taken out of the tiny cage! Archie's a very good-natured boy who loves to run, play, & learn new things. If we could describe Archie, we'd say he is a resilient, energetic, and lovable GOOFBALL. He will make the BEST adventure partner and loyal companion! He loves to play with other doggies in the program. If you're Husky-savvy, and lead an ACTIVE lifestyle, let us know! We require a home with no children under 12. Click "Apply Online" to submit your interest.

Story
Hi there, I'm Gigi! I'm a 1 year old Husky Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, ready for my new home! Not to brag but... I'm kind of a big deal around here. I've heard whispers through the kennels, and they say things like 'staff favorite' and 'best looking'. Can't say I blame them. Looking this good is basically a full-time job but I make it look effortless. Eyes? Gorgeous. Teeth? Sparkling. This coat? Designer. Don't even get me started on my vocals. People are always asking, is that Mariah Carey in the building? Nope just little ol me. Singing the song of my people is just one of my many talents. I'm rightfully treated like a superstar but don't worry, it hasn't gone to my head. I get along with other dogs, children and love to get down and dirty. I love to go for long walks, run, hike, and play with my besties. Sometimes the excitement gets the better of me (I just love to play!) so my friends at SBH are helping to teach me how to stay calm and follow directions. Although I love to perform, I hope you will be my final act. Give me a chance and I'll give you the best finale you've ever seen. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Hills will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission!

Story
Hi, I'm Po and I'm currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 7 year *young* Male, Husky mix and I am SO ready to blow this joint! I was originally brought in as a surrender early this year and my friends have learned so much about me over these last nine months. I'm housetrained, love all kinds of toys, and have made so many doggy friends along the way! I've been introduced to multiple dogs of different sizes and energy levels and have shown I'm versatile and dependable when introduced to new environments, people, and other dogs. Even though I love being introduced to new people and doggos, no feline friends for me please! Considering I've been here so long, I've adapted fairly well being in the shelter environment; but just because I've learned to adapt doesn't mean I want to stay here any longer. I'm a big foodie and you might just see how big I am when you come to visit. Did you know my name Po is short for PO-tato? I've also been referred to as No Neck Ed from 90 Day Fiancé. No seriously. Look it up. We could be related. I've lost weight since coming into the shelter and while I don't need to slim down to an itty-bitty waist or a size 0, I would thrive in a home where my person can focus on my weight loss journey so we can live a long, happy life together. If you know anything about huskies, you already know I'm a certified yapper. There's nothing better than having a friend to chit chat, lounge, and chill with. Because I'm definitely all about those chill vibes. Oh, and I know cues like "sit" and “speak". I'm famous (I was on the local news) and a nice person even fostered me for a few days and had all good things to say, even saying they would keep me forever if they could... just putting that out there. If you’re looking for a relaxed yet fun-loving companion who loves both playtime and chill moments, I’m your guy! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.
