Story
Hi, I'm Po and I'm currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 7 year *young* Male, Husky mix and I am SO ready to blow this joint! I was originally brought in as a surrender early this year and my friends have learned so much about me over these last nine months. I'm housetrained, love all kinds of toys, and have made so many doggy friends along the way! I've been introduced to multiple dogs of different sizes and energy levels and have shown I'm versatile and dependable when introduced to new environments, people, and other dogs. Even though I love being introduced to new people and doggos, no feline friends for me please! Considering I've been here so long, I've adapted fairly well being in the shelter environment; but just because I've learned to adapt doesn't mean I want to stay here any longer. I'm a big foodie and you might just see how big I am when you come to visit. Did you know my name Po is short for PO-tato? I've also been referred to as No Neck Ed from 90 Day Fiancé. No seriously. Look it up. We could be related. I've lost weight since coming into the shelter and while I don't need to slim down to an itty-bitty waist or a size 0, I would thrive in a home where my person can focus on my weight loss journey so we can live a long, happy life together. If you know anything about huskies, you already know I'm a certified yapper. There's nothing better than having a friend to chit chat, lounge, and chill with. Because I'm definitely all about those chill vibes. Oh, and I know cues like "sit" and “speak". I'm famous (I was on the local news) and a nice person even fostered me for a few days and had all good things to say, even saying they would keep me forever if they could... just putting that out there. If you’re looking for a relaxed yet fun-loving companion who loves both playtime and chill moments, I’m your guy! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Hills will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!

Story
Romo is a people oriented Akita who`s a joy to be around. A surprising mixture of exuberance and gentility, he plays well with other dogs, is motivated by attention and compliments rather than treats. He isn`t a barker or biter and loves to go on walks and adventures. He thinks zoomies in the backyard are a gas and he would be a great addition to a family wth outdoor space. It`s charming how he`ll bring your slippers and cushions to you without damaging them in any way. He`ll even lick them clean for you! He knows not to climb on furniture. His greatest pleasure is being near peole. He`s improving his leash skills and does well with someone who has upper body strength to contain his enthusiasm about checking out patches of clover and grass. Taking him for walk at the shelter won`t show his multiple attributes. He shines in a home setting. He lovers to have his chin scratched and sometimes even his belly. His ears and back, not so much and he`ll let you know by licking your arm. Romo`s goal in life is to be a devoted companion to some lucky family.

Roman – The Water-Loving Ladies’ ManMeet Roman, a 2-year-old petite Husky with movie-star eyes, a confident strut, and a serious fan club — of thefemale variety. He’s the kind of guy who turns heads in the play yard, always surrounded by the ladies and pretending not tonotice the attention (though he definitely does). Roman prefers the company of female dogs in the yard. There`s only room for one stud like him!Roman’s got the full package: he’s smart, expressive, and always up for anadventure. Whether he’s splashing through the waves, striking poses with his signature goofy faces, or lounging like a poolside model, he’s happiest when water — and good company — are involved. And while he’s a social butterfly, Roman also knows how to relax and enjoy the moment once the fun’s over. He’s a charming mix of playful energy and easygoing affection — the perfect blend of flirt and friend. If you’re looking for a handsome husky who lives for laughter, water, and winning hearts, Roman’s ready to make you swoon.
