Story
Fluey is a FANTASTIC and very active doggy. Our family is heartbroken to need to find her a new home, but that is what will be best for her and our family. We adopted her from a shelter when she was about 1 year hold and she is 3 now. She has made great behavioral progress and knows many commands now (sit, stay, come, shake, lay down, slow, walk and off are ones we use with her most commonly). She is trained to be both on and off leash and comes on command. She is also trained with a beeper collar for longer off-leash hiking adventures. She is used to hiking and/or jogging 3 to 7 miles per day. The reason we are looking for a new home for her is because our youngest child is not able to give her enough personal space and this stress recently caused her to bite one of our family members. We were shocked and very sad when this happened, but we cannot risk this happening again and so feel it would be safer for Fluey, and everyone involved, if she is rehomed to a family w/out kids.

Story
Meet Meeka! Some dogs spend their whole lives loving one family, and Meeka is one of those special souls. At 12½ years young, this sweet Husky girl found herself starting over after her longtime owner had to move somewhere that sadly couldn`t welcome her along. Through no fault of her own, Meeka suddenly found herself looking for a new place to call home. While it`s a big change after so many years, this gentle girl hasn`t let it dampen her spirit. She`s ready to find one more family to love with her whole heart for the rest of her senior years.Don`t let her age fool you, Meeka still has plenty of pep in her step! She enjoys leisurely walks where she can stop to sniff every interesting scent, exploring the yard and basking in the sun, and spending quiet time with the people she loves. She`s the kind of companion who`s just as happy joining you for a stroll as she is curling up nearby while you relax at home. She simply wants to be loved by her people. According to her previous owner, Meeka has done well with children. She would prefer a home without cats or other dogs, though, and would likely thrive as the center of your world. After years of being a devoted companion, she`s earned the chance to soak up all the love, attention, and cozy naps a senior girl could ever dream of.As Meeka enters her golden years, she`ll need a family willing to help her stay happy and healthy. Her recent bloodwork showed elevated liver values, which could be related to liver disease or another underlying condition. She`ll need adopters who are committed to building a good relationship with their veterinarian and making sure she`s feeling her best for the rest of her days. While she may need a little extra care, we know the love and companionship she has to offer are more than worth it!Senior dogs have a quiet kind of magic about them. They ask for so little, a comfortable bed, a gentle hand, and someone to love... In return, they fill your home with unwavering loyalty, gratitude, and companionship. Meeka has spent her life being someone`s faithful friend, and she deserves to spend her golden years knowing that kind of love once again. If your home has room for a sweet old soul with a loving heart and plenty of life left to enjoy, Meeka is waiting to meet you. We know there`s someone out there who will see what we see: a truly wonderful dog who deserves the happiest ending to her story!

This survey helps us learn more about you and answer any questions you may have, it is not a commitment to adopt.* Hi my name is Blue. I am an 8 year old large Husky mix (M/N) with big blue eyes and a loving personality. I was found as a stray in Texas and was later brought to Routt Co Humane in Steamboat Springs. I then got transferred to C.A.R.E due to a wildfire near my previous shelter. I get along great with other dogs and love to have my long grey and white hair brushed. I can't wait to find a family and home that suits me.

Story
Brian is a 1-year-old, neutered male Siberian husky weighing 55lbs. Brian was found as a stray, and no one came looking for him…can you believe it? Brian’s a typical husky who will need lots of activity to be the best dog. Brian loves being with people and other dogs. He LOVES to play! Brian would do great in a home with another dog to wrestle with or with someone who goes on multiple runs a day. If you’re a high energy person looking for a dog to take on your adventures, take home Brian!
