Story
If you've ever wanted a Husky with plenty of personality, Winter is ready to apply for the position. This beautiful 5-year-old came to H.A.L.O. when her owner was facing a move and spending too much time away at work. Winter has lived with teenagers, another dog, and even a cat, and she generally loves everyone she meets. She gets especially excited around people and other animals, which can sometimes lead to a little pulling on leash as she rushes over to make new friends.Winter is mostly housebroken and will usually ask to go outside, though if she's ignored or left alone for too long, she may leave a reminder by the door. Like many Huskies, she's also incredibly smart—and not always in ways that benefit her humans. Unlocked doors are merely suggestions, standard crates are no match for her escape skills, and if she gains access to the house while unsupervised, any reachable trash can may become a snack bar. When she's not plotting her next adventure, Winter enjoys car rides, cuddling with her people, carrying around her beloved giant teddy bear, and snuggling with her blanket. She knows sit, down, and shake, although whether she chooses to show off those skills depends entirely on her mood. And squirrels? Let's just say she considers them her sworn enemies.Winter is looking for a family that appreciates the intelligence, independence, and occasional mischief that Huskies are famous for. In return, she'll provide endless entertainment, plenty of affection, and enough personality to fill an entire house.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Escape ArtistAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
Have you ever wondered what would happen if someone gave a toddler four legs, unlimited energy, and the ability to jump three feet straight into the air for absolutely no reason?Meet Navi. This beautiful young Husky is just shy of a year old, which means she's currently navigating that delightful stage of life where she's old enough to be surprisingly smart but young enough to make questionable decisions with great confidence.Navi came to H.A.L.O. because she was playing a little too enthusiastically with the small children in her previous home. To be clear, this girl loves people. She is incredibly friendly and adores attention. Her problem isn't that she doesn't like kids—it's that she sometimes forgets she's not one. When excitement levels rise, Navi becomes a whirlwind of happy hops, flying paws, and zero awareness of personal space.Because of that, any children in the home should simply be prepared for a dog who occasionally expresses her affection like a furry wrecking ball. And honestly? That's pretty on-brand for a young Husky.Navi is sweet as can be, but she's also a Husky who hasn't quite outgrown her puppy brain. She's energetic, playful, curious, mischievous, and always looking for her next adventure. She'll need an active family that understands exercise isn't optional, mental enrichment is important, and "What are you doing?" is a question they'll likely ask her on a regular basis. The good news? Beneath all that puppy energy is an affectionate, lovable dog who genuinely enjoys being around her people. She just needs a family willing to embrace the fun, continue her training, and appreciate that sometimes the best dogs are the ones that keep life interesting. If you're looking for a calm, quiet couch potato, Navi would like to respectfully decline your application. If you're looking for a hilarious, lovable sidekick who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and occasionally remind you why Huskies have the reputation they do, Navi may just be your perfect match.Requirements: Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Meet Lupine, a 2-year-old Husky mix with a playful spirit, a big personality, and all the classic traits people love about the breed.Lupine’s journey has been a bit of a whirlwind—he spent several weeks in a foster home after leaving his previous situation, but ultimately ended up with us when the family could no longer keep two dogs due to housing and financial limitations. Through it all, Lupine has remained a fun-loving, affectionate dog who’s ready to find a more permanent place to land. This handsome guy is everything you’d expect from a husky mix—smart, energetic, and always looking for something to do. He thrives on activity and interaction, whether that’s playtime, walks, or just being involved in whatever his people are up to. He’s especially wonderful with kids and brings a goofy, joyful energy wherever he goes.Lupine does have some separation anxiety, which means he’s not a fan of being left alone for long stretches. If left more than about 4 hours, he may have accidents or find ways to entertain himself—like redecorating with paper towels, shoes, or anything else he can get his paws on. With structure, enrichment, and patience, this is something that can absolutely be improved, but it’s important that his future home is prepared to work with him and help him feel secure. He’s partially housebroken, knows commands like “sit” and “down,” and loves to play. He can be a little mouthy during playtime (a common puppy-like behavior), but it’s never out of aggression—just excitement and enthusiasm.Lupine is looking for an active home that understands the needs of his breed and is committed to giving him both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He would do best with a family that has the time to help him build confidence, work through his separation anxiety, and keep him happily engaged. If you’re ready for an energetic, affectionate, and entertaining companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with personality, Lupine just might be your perfect match.Requirements: Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
