Wisdom- Female Husky/ Mix Meet Wisdom, a 1 year old husky mix with such a gentle spirit. 💕 This pretty girl is a bit shy at first, but warmed up fairly quick with some treats. Wisdom walked well on leash, and enjoyed sniffing and cautiously exploring her surroundings. Wisdom is a new arrival, so we are still getting to know her and look forward to seeing her full personality blossom. If interested in meeting this girl with the soulful eyes, go to tapsshelter.org and fill out a no obligation application.

Story
Name: Kaylee Ann Age: 3 years Breed: Siberian Husky mix Size: 44.3 Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Kaylee Ann! The perfect combination of grace, calm, and a heart full of love! Kaylee Ann is a beautiful 3-year-old Siberian Husky mix who arrived at HSSM on November 12th, 2025, after being found as a stray in Biloxi by animal control. Since her arrival, she has completely stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers alike with her gentle soul, calm nature, and wonderfully well-rounded manners. Kaylee walks on her leash like an absolute lady—graceful, confident, and just a touch sassy with every step. Her calm, cool demeanor makes her a fantastic family dog, especially for those looking for a companion who brings peace and warmth into the home. She loves spending time in the yard soaking up sunshine and fresh air, and she’s happiest when she’s close to her people. Bonus: her kisses are truly top tier. While Kaylee Ann enjoys companionship, she’s also content entertaining herself when needed, making her a great match for households with busy days but loving evenings. She would thrive in a calmer home where she can relax with her favorite humans, though she’s always up for the occasional new adventure. Kaylee is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. She has tested positive for heartworms, but don't let that stop you from giving Kaylee the care she needs to live a long, healthy life. If you’re searching for a loyal, loving companion with a peaceful presence and a heart of gold, Kaylee Ann may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Kaylee Ann's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Kaylee Ann please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog). Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. Story
Meet Jerry Recycled Batteries! Jerry was dumped in the country near our home in October. After contacting Animal Control, they informed us that he would likely be put down since local shelters were full. This broke our hearts because he is such a beautiful and sweet dog, so we agreed to rescue him. We do not know his backstory, but the vets estimate him to be around 2 years old and some sort of Husky, Kelpie, German Shepard mix. We had him neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and we even sent him to a two week board and train program (which was amazing). But the reality is, we just don't have the time or capacity to give him the active lifestyle he deserves. We also have two small children (4&2) and although Jerry has been very gentle with them, his sheer size and power gives us some hesitation. Jerry is an amazing athlete, very smart, a loyal protector. He loves to have a job to do. He needs to learn to not jump or chew, but someone with the time could train him to be a wonderful pet!
