Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL ARF DOG. THIS PUP WILL BE NEUTERED AT 6 MONTHS OF AGE. Jimmy is a 4 month old male Siberian Husky who weighs in at 10 pounds. If you are still interested, please read more below. Jimmy is a couch potato – that is, when he isn’t running and playing! He loves running around in a big backyard. He loves other dogs and loves talking to everyone and everything. He wants to make sure all the attention is on him. His favorite snack is anything cold. His favorite pass time is laying on an A/C vent when he’s not running around the yard. He is working on potty training and basic puppy manners.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are  based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.  Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! August 13, 2026, 6:42 pm

Story
Zuri is a 1-year-old female husky mix available for adoption at CCHS! Little Zuri has lots of puppy energy and would love nothing more than to have a space to run and play! Zuri did well with children in her previous home, and is curious and conflicted when it comes to meeting other dogs. When meeting new people, she will often excitedly jump on them and ask for attention. She loves belly rubs, and will gladly tackle someone to lick their face if given the opportunity. Come meet this playful girl at CCHS!

Story
All Pet Central Helps animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL ARF DOG. THIS DOG WILL BE SPAYED BY THE OWNER PRIOR TO ADOPTION. Atris is a 3 year old female Siberian Husky who weighs in at 40 pounds. If you are still interested, please read more below. Atris was rescued by her humans about 1.5 years ago from the breeder she came from. She was getting rehomed because of the previous owners’ health issues. It is suspected she was severely abused by either the breeder or past owner – she is a very nervous dog. She does eventually warm up to you and loves to cuddle with you. She loves long pack walks and loves running around with the other dogs that live in the house. Atris is good with most dogs – she tends to prefer them over humans. However, she doesn’t do too well with dominant female dogs. She is mostly housetrained, but she needs a lot of outside playtime or long walks so that she doesn’t potty in the house. She walks with a pack fine, but on a leash by herself she tends to be all over the place – so additional training will be beneficial! Her favorite treat is frozen goat milk.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! He loves long walks and loves to talk to you any chance he gets. He is leash trained to walk with a pack of dogs. He recently has become dog aggressive after getting himself into a bad dog fight. He has a very high prey drive – so no cats for Anakin. He loves any attention he can get from anyone. He can be a troublemaker at times if he doesn’t have enough playtime. He loves to run around in a big backyard to get all his energy out. Anakin is housebroken and neutered.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation!
