Around 4 years old, she can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new surroundings, so she is looking for someone patient who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and comfortable. Ronnie is very observant and aware of her environment, but she has made incredible progress during her time at the shelter. She is learning to walk nicely on a leash, enjoys showing off how pretty she can sit, and continues to gain confidence every day. Because Ronnie can be cautious at first, she would do best with someone willing to help guide her and continue her training and socialization. Once she trusts you, her sweet and loyal personality truly shines.

Sebastian is a handsome Husky mix who found himself on death row after being owner-surrendered. He and his brother, Tristan, have been in the same home since birth, about 3 years ago. He is the sweetest boy! He gets along with other dogs and is super polite on walks. He is a tail wagger for sure! He is unfortunately HW positive and is being treated at Happy Tails. Meet Della, a beautiful 4 year old husky pit bull mix who is patiently waiting for her fresh start this spring. 💛 While she can be a bit shy at first, Della truly shines with a gentle, understanding approach. Once she feels comfortable, she reveals her affectionate, cuddly nature and love for outdoor adventures and belly rubs. Della would thrive with a dog-savvy adopter who can provide the guidance, patience, and active lifestyle she needs to continue building confidence. She is best suited for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to fully relax and form a strong bond with her person. Della’s story is especially meaningful to our shelter. She was deeply loved by longtime volunteer Brian T. Parkinson, who dedicated years to caring for our dogs. As shared in his obituary, “In keeping with his compassionate spirit, Brian’s final wish was to see Della, his favorite shelter dog, find a loving home.” Since his passing in May 2025, Della continues to wait for that special someone. This spring, we hope to honor Brian’s memory by helping Della find the loving home he wished for her.
