Story
Audrey has been through SO MUCH but still loves pets (and treats) from people she trusts. Her fur is amazingly soft. Despite her sugared face, we really don't know how old she is - she had a litter over the winter; her eyes are clear & bright; teeth are worn but mostly white; she's very upbeat. She's missing a chunk of her nose and been shot at least once with a BB gun. When she was first rescued, she was found sharing 17 puppies with 2 other mommas - who knows how many puppies she's birthed/raised in the wild. Despite this, she greets everyone with a tail wag (although from a distance), tippy tap dances when you talk sweet to her, likes pets/cuddles from people she knows, and wants to be near the family. She is super thrilled to be an indoor dog and has become a bit prissy about mud or wet grass. She is ALL about mealtime. Now that she's finally feeling good, shes being more goofy and even gets the zoomies She's defensive with new dogs until she knows they aren't going to hurt her - then she becomes good friends with them. She loves older kids. She is smart and knows what a lot of words mean, but weirdly "sit" has been difficult. Overall, she is a very sweet & polite lady that is looking for a loving & understanding furever family.

Farrah is a stunning, silly girl. Most of the time you can catch her with her tongue sticking out. Farrah is playful and likes balls and stuffed toys. As for treats, she seems to love all of them! She gets very excited to go on walks and can be jumpy when getting out of her kennel. As she gets away from the shelter she settles into a great walking partner. Farrah likes other dogs, and loves to be loved on by her people. Apply for Farrah online and come meet her in person!

Same with kids! I am pretty much perfect! I do wonderful on walks. I may come off as jumpy at first, but I am a sweet boy. Sometimes meeting new people is just exciting! I am excited to to be in a home soon! Please consider adopting me! I won't let you down!

Story
Meet Togo — a quiet little shadow with a soft heart and a story still unfolding. At 2 years old and about 33.5 pounds, Togo is another “mini Husky” who carries all the beauty and spirit of the breed in a smaller, more delicate frame. But unlike the bold, boisterous stereotype, Togo is a gentle observer — the kind of dog who watches the world from a safe distance before deciding it’s worth stepping into. Togo is very shy and still learning that people can be kind and safe. He won’t rush up to greet you — instead, he might sneak in for a quick sniff or a soft little kiss when you’re not looking, like a tiny whisper of trust. Sit quietly with him, give him space, and you’ll start to see his walls slowly come down. Every small moment with Togo feels earned, and that’s what makes it so special. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace. Togo will need time, consistency, and a calm environment where he can continue to build confidence. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in an adult-only home or with older, respectful teenagers who understand that trust isn’t instant — it’s something you grow, one gentle moment at a time. A securely fenced yard is a must for this little explorer-in-training. Like any Husky, Togo has that quiet curiosity about the world, and he’ll need a safe space to stretch his legs and take it all in without feeling overwhelmed. He is heartworm positive and has started treatment. Wish Bone will continue his treatment whether it's through our vet or providing medication to the adopter's vet to administer. Togo may not be the dog who greets you at the door right away — but he’s the one who will quietly choose you, inch by inch, until one day you realize he’s right beside you, trusting you completely. And that kind of bond? It’s the rare, heart-stealing kind that makes every bit of patience worth it.  His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $12 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Marrietta — Miss Independent with a Wild Side Marrietta is a 1–2 year old mixed‑breed sweetheart who knows exactly who she is: fun, confident, and always ready for her next adventure. She’s a zoomies-in-the-yard enthusiast, a long‑walk lover, and a certified pup‑cup connoisseur. This smart girl is potty trained, enjoys car rides, and is wonderfully kid friendly. With other dogs, she’s a bit of a lovable rascal — a button‑pusher who thrives with dogs that match her energy or don’t mind her playful, ornery streak. If you’ve got a wild, joyful pup at home, she might be their perfect partner in crime. Marrietta is independent, spirited, and full of personality. She’s been waiting for a family who appreciates a dog with spunk, smarts, and a whole lot of heart. If you’re looking for a fun, adventurous companion with a dash of sass, Marrietta is your girl.
