Audrey was found with 2 other mommas sharing the care of 17 total puppies living under an abandoned trailer. There is no telling how many puppies she birthed and/or raised in her life and we are happy to tell her there will be no more and she will have comfort & safety for the rest of her days. ❤️ Audrey is a sweet girl that is a little hesitant to trust, but likes existing around people & other dogs. Are you the one to show Audrey what family & love really is? Audrey finishes her heartworm treatment at the end of March and will be available to go to her furever home then.

Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Meet Togo — a quiet little shadow with a soft heart and a story still unfolding. At 2 years old and about 33.5 pounds, Togo is another “mini Husky” who carries all the beauty and spirit of the breed in a smaller, more delicate frame. But unlike the bold, boisterous stereotype, Togo is a gentle observer — the kind of dog who watches the world from a safe distance before deciding it’s worth stepping into. Togo is very shy and still learning that people can be kind and safe. He won’t rush up to greet you — instead, he might sneak in for a quick sniff or a soft little kiss when you’re not looking, like a tiny whisper of trust. Sit quietly with him, give him space, and you’ll start to see his walls slowly come down. Every small moment with Togo feels earned, and that’s what makes it so special. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace. Togo will need time, consistency, and a calm environment where he can continue to build confidence. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in an adult-only home or with older, respectful teenagers who understand that trust isn’t instant — it’s something you grow, one gentle moment at a time. A securely fenced yard is a must for this little explorer-in-training. Like any Husky, Togo has that quiet curiosity about the world, and he’ll need a safe space to stretch his legs and take it all in without feeling overwhelmed. He is heartworm positive and has started treatment. Wish Bone will continue his treatment whether it's through our vet or providing medication to the adopter's vet to administer. Togo may not be the dog who greets you at the door right away — but he’s the one who will quietly choose you, inch by inch, until one day you realize he’s right beside you, trusting you completely. And that kind of bond? It’s the rare, heart-stealing kind that makes every bit of patience worth it.  His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $12 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Watson is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing 58 pounds of happy energy, good looks, and undeniable charm. While he may be known as Sherlock’s trusty companion, don’t be fooled… this guy can absolutely hold his own in the spotlight. Watson keeps his kennel nice and clean (a promising clue about his good habits) and, like any excellent partner, he gets along great with his brother Sherlock. Whether they’re sharing space or sharing adventures, Watson proves he’s got the social skills and easygoing nature that make him a joy to be around. True to his name, Watson is dependable, friendly, and just the right amount of silly. He’s the kind of dog who brings a lighthearted energy wherever he goes — always ready to brighten your day, whether he’s trotting by your side or just being his happy, lovable self. Watson is on the lookout for his forever home — a place where he can be your loyal companion, your daily dose of joy, and maybe even your favorite “assistant” in all of life’s adventures. Take Watson home, and you’ll quickly discover… every great life story is better with a Watson by your side. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
