Story
Meia is a 6 year old husky/malamute mix. She is spayed but needs her vaccines done still. She is a large and in charge girl! She loves people and is a super sweet girl. She loves treats and is very food motivated, she will do anything for a treat and a pet. She loves attention and loves to be pet. Meia is a talker and will howl her little heart away. She enjoys running after the ball and playing with her toys. She is a very loving girl. Meia does great with kids! She needs to be an only animal as she is very dominant and can be aggressive towards other dogs. She can be okay with cats but is a little too interested with them sometimes.

Story
AVAILABLE updated 6-3-2026 This beautiful and loveable guy needs to find his forever home. Quinn is turning a year old and has been with us half his life. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He walks good on a leash and loves long walks. He is working on all his manners and will need someone to continue his training. He will need someone who is ready to continue working on house training (he's doing really well as long as there is someone to take him out). Quinn loves blanket time with humans, cuddles, and feeling loved. He's ready to find his person and promises to be loyal and be your best friend for life. If you like taking walks, hikes, or jogging, he would like that. Huskies like to be active, so a fenced yard and play time would also be great if you aren't able to take walks. We do ask that you have a taller fenced yard without gaps and supervise his yard time until he's used to his new space. Quinn is a typical husky and will talk when he's excited or hears you coming in. He will also howl if he's feeling sad. So no apartment life for Quinn. If you are home a lot you may not notice his talking as much. If you love beautiful husky dogs and want a best and loyal friend, and have the perfect place for Quinn please let us know. Please email citizensanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application. If you have any questions, please contact 217-799-8858 or 217-655-4353. We are located at 609 East 5th Street Tilton, IL 61833. https://www.facebook.com/CaraRescue/posts/pfbid02o3xusBW69ysYsKyHQcY5SPj3zKnHfEGhe7GpELWaCYGeoazJrS2G3X49k3kBvDmpl

Story
Hook is a big-hearted, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people. He leans his whole body into you when he wants attention, absolutely loves belly rubs, and is happiest when he has a soft, squeaky plush toy to carry around. He also enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war and knows basic cues like sit and lay down. Hook is a smart, sensitive dog who finds the shelter environment overwhelming, so he’s currently on medication to help with kennel stress. Hook’s ideal home is a calm, structured environment where he can decompress, settle into a routine, and show his true personality. He will thrive with a confident, consistent, and experienced dog owner who enjoys building a bond through training and giving him clear guidance. In a previous home, Hook reportedly did better with men than women, and he will need a home without small children. He will benefit from continued work on leash manners and does best walking in a harness. He is good with cats. We have not yet tested him directly with other dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just needs the right environment to truly shine, Hook might be the one for you.
