Story
**Hi, I’m Keen!**I’m about 4 years old and weigh around 65 lbs, just the right size to snuggle with you on the couch or join you on outdoor adventures. I’m a handsome, friendly boy with a mix of breeds that makes me uniquely me! I have a striking white and brown coat, cute ears that stick up, and a big, happy smile that I’m always ready to share.I came in as a stray, but I’m ready to leave my past behind and find my forever home. I’ve got a lot of love to give and a lot of fun to share. Whether it’s playing fetch in the yard, going for long walks, or just hanging out with my favorite people, I’m up for it all. I’m a good-natured pup who just wants to be your best friend and loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving boy who’s ready to bring joy into your life, then I’m your guy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   Echo is at our high kill shelter, just waiting for someone to find him. His chances are slim, so KKC want to give him a boost. The little one is only 3.5 months old and has been in the shelter over half his life in a kennel with very little interaction. Echo really needs to have a foster or adopter to go with so he doesn’t have to return to his cage. He’s got the little man syndrome right now from being kenneled for a while. He pesters others significantly in group play. But when he went on his neuter day trip, he did very well with one of our Goldens. With proper transitioning, we feel he would learn to play well with his size or larger. Echo is currently 29 pounds and loves to be cuddeled. He is great with kids and does okay with cats around him. Echo just needs someone to give him a chance!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  If you are interested in meeting any of our babies, please complete an online application at https://kykittycats.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6024 If you don't see pictures on Petfinder, please go to our website to view at www.kykittycats.com and we always have a waiting list that hasn't been posted yet.  We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. We have taken in over 600 animals in 2024, and we desperately need good adopters, fosters, and sponsors to keep the doors open.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help. It typically it cost us $60-80 to fully vet a feline and $80-120 to vet a canine depending on size and health conditions and sex. Please visit and like our social media pages...  https://www.facebook.com/kykitties   https://instagram.com/kentuckykittycats?igshid=11qfoexi4imaf   and now we are on TIKTOK! Our PayPal and Venmo is under kykittycats@yahoo.com and our cash app is $kykittycats All donations are much appreciated, and feel free to designate how you want them spent. Story
Side Eye is a male Husky mix born on August 1, 2024, and he has quickly proven himself to be one of the easier fosters around. He keeps a clean kennel and clearly signals when he needs to go outside, showing great potential with house manners. While he’s still learning his basic commands, he is very teachable—just in a few weeks,in his foster home, he has already learned to sit before being given his food, which shows how smart and food-motivated he can be. Side Eye has been around kids in his previous home, though a home with older children would likely be the best fit due to his playful style. He tends to throw his paws while playing and enthusiastically slings toys around, sometimes accidentally smacking you or sending toys flying across the room. When it comes to cats, Side Eye is very respectful and easygoing. He mostly ignores them, occasionally sniffing as they pass by, and has even been off-leash around them. Any chasing or pawing has been playful with no ill intent. With other dogs, he is generally submissive and friendly but a bit goofy. He enjoys standing or climbing over other dogs during play and responds to corrections by laying down—then happily trying again. He does especially well with dogs who enjoy wrestling and playful interaction. Overall, Side Eye is a fun, sweet, and lovable young dog who already has great manners and just needs continued guidance and consistency to help him reach his full potential. He’s going to make a wonderful companion in the right home. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. ##2195681##
