Meet Zeus!
Zeus is a 4-year-old boy with beautiful blue eyes, an expressive face, and a sweet, silly personality. He loves exploring on walks, investigating squeaky toys, and settling close to his person when the day winds down.
Zeus was gentle with the smaller dogs he met at an adoption event and warmly welcomed attention from children of different ages. He is house trained, rides well in the car, and enjoys a daily routine that includes several miles of walking, playtime, and comfortable rests indoors.
Zeus is learning leash manners and household boundaries, including keeping his curiosity away from food on the counter. He also needs gradual support with being alone. His crate training is a work in progress, and he currently howls when left in it without his person.
Calm, predictable handling and consistent training are important as Zeus settles into a new home. He is looking for an active, patient family who will include him in everyday life and help him build confidence spending time on his own.
With affectionate kisses and a love of companionship, Zeus has plenty of heart to share.
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
