Meet Nymeria, a striking 6 year old husky looking for her new home! We have limited info on this kiddo, but we know that she was living in a bubble in her previous home--not regularly meeting new people or dogs--and so will do best in a quieter home in a low-traffic area, where she can adjust at her own pace. Nymeria is a true snack connoisseur, and she`s been making great progress on some of her home skills using positive reinforcement training (she is currently working on her housebreaking, walking on leash, and some other basics). Adopters should have some patience and a good sense of humor as Nymeria adjusts to living in her new home, and be ready to manage their environment as needed to help her be successful.Nymeria will do best with adopters ready to practice petting consent--meaning, letting her be the one to initiate interactions, and not petting her if she`s not asking. Any children in the home should be ready to follow the same approach, and participate in her training and management plan! Nymeria lived with dogs in her previous home, but has been avoidant when interacting with dogs in our care, so she could do ok with a mellow dog to help show her the ropes, but might also like to be your one and only.If you`re looking to add a new canine companion to your home, then look no further than Nymeria--she might be worried to start, but given some time to settle in and a gentle and patient hand, Nymeria`s sure to shine!

Meet Arthur, a 3 year old Husky with a heart full of potential. We have limited history on him, but know that he was living in a bubble, meaning he was not meeting strangers or other dogs, and is very fearful as a result--Arthur can be shy and uncertain of the world around him, but with patience and a gentle approach to training, he is learning that the world is not so scary. As Arthur has an abnormal background, he is looking for an adopter who can offer him a calm, low-traffic environment where he can continue to grow and learn. He will need someone who`s ready to teach him all the basics, such as housebreaking, walking on a leash, and general manners, using positive reinforcement training (Arthur loves snacks and is very smart, so he`s a great training buddy!). As Arthur is worried and has a lot he`s working on, he says no thank you to living with other pets for now, please!

WHO COULD LEAVE THIS GUY TO FEND FOR HIMSELF? Found wandering and brought to the shelter. Likely another poor soul dumped when his "family" didn't want him any more. Dusty is a great young adult husky mix. About a year old. 45-50 pounds. Great with other dogs. He is about 1 yo. 45-50 lbs. Super playful and friendly. Just an overall happy go lucky guy and LOVES to be petted. He is getting ready for his freedom ride north. He was in a foster home with a number of other dogs who all left for their furevers, Now it's his turn. Apply to adopt this sweet boy. www.sunnypawsrescue.org

ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO YET. GOOD WITH PEOPLE, DOGS AND CATS. Pee pad trained. Good in kennel. Petal's brother. Owner surrender after his dog had an "accidental litter". Dropped at shelter asking them to be killed. Not today!!!! They are doing so good in their foster home. Love to play. Good with the other dogs in the home, loves toys. Ignores the cats. These pups are not big jumpers or barkers. Gentle and snuggly. He is the first one to come and greet you. Mom is a medium size lab mix, dad could have been Husky or Great Pyr mix. Whatever the combo---can't stand how handsome he is. 4 months old, about 20 pounds. Apply to give him somewhere to go with his cute little bow tie. www.sunnypawsrescue.org

SUPER SWEET WITH ALL PEOPLE. GOOD WITH DOGS AND IGNORES THE CATS. Sent to the shelter by the irresponsible owner who had another "accidental litter". Requesting she and her 2 littermates be euthanized. Mom is a medium size lab mix. Visitors to the yard were described as either a great pyr or a husky mix. Look at the sweetness here.
