Story
Say hello to Cisco! And yes, he is everything husky. He is dramatic, quirky, picky about friends, talented escape artist, enjoys singing, and absolutely gorgeous. Cisco loves going on walks and he has beautiful leash manners to prove it. He is also a very good office mate. And once this good boy knows you, he really likes a good shoulder rub. Cisco is a sensitive dog who can be fearful in new or busy environments. We are not sure if he has ever lived inside, so there are so many things that are new and scary. Cisco is hoping for a quiet, predictable home with adopters who will let him settle in at his own pace. With some management, Cisco could possibly live with another dog or cat. Children should be old enough to understand petting consent. Would you like to meet Cisco? He is really a very good boy!

Story
Meet Daisy!*Daisy comes with her amazing buddy, Atlas!Sweet, lovable, and beatiful Daisy! Daisy is what looks like a husky weighing 49 pounds and came to us as a stray from a local animal control with her buddy Atlas. What we know about her is she is gentle, friendly to people and other dogs, loves sniffari-adventures on walks, pulls a little on leash but is learning not too as we practice Name Game on walks - she is very, very smart and her coat is soft like cotton! She`s both snuggly and adventerous. Loves to play with toys. We just met her so we have limited information but from what we`ve seen with her she`s a dream girl looking for her people to come and adopt her so she can move onto the next adventure in her journey through life! Daisy is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Daisy or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Story
Meet Sysco! A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky currently in Hamden, CT, whose essence is a whirlwind of energy wrapped in a striking red and white coat, with eyes that sparkle with curiosity and loyalty. Built for movement and full of heart, Sysco is the definition of an adventure buddy! Whether he's darting across a yard in full sprint, diving into a game of fetch, or challenging you to an epic round of tug of war, this boy lives for activity. He’s also got a soft side, after a long day of play, he’s all about snuggling up with his favorite stuffed animal (or your arm, if you’ll allow it) for some well-earned cuddle time. Smart and eager to please, Sysco knows several commands like sit, paw, boop, and lay down. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready for his next chapter with a family who can provide structure, love, and lots of play. While he’s comfortable being alone for short periods, his true happiness shines brightest when he’s with people who make him feel safe. Sysco is still working on his confidence and trust, especially with men, but he's made encouraging progress with patient, gentle guidance. He bonds quickly with women and thrives with consistency, positive reinforcement, and routines like his twice-daily meals and cozy kennel bedtime. Loud noises, sudden movements, and especially food are triggers for him, and he needs a compassionate home that understands these sensitivities. He can be protective of his food around unfamiliar people, especially men, so a home with adults or older teens who are experienced or willing to learn is ideal. While he hasn’t had many opportunities to mingle with other dogs or cats he's shown some anxiety, but never aggression, around other pups. He’ll need continued socialization and confidence-building to help him flourish. With the right balance of patience, structure, and affection, Sysco’s loyalty knows no bounds! Could you be the one to help this intelligent, affectionate, and beautiful Husky continue to blossom? If you’re ready for the joy of a lifetime, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and let the next great adventure begin!

Story
Blue is a cute and spunky girl who is ready to find a home of her own! She is very smart and energetic, but is still working on all her puppy manners like housetraining and walking nicely on leash. Blue has a history of using her mouth to play when she gets really excited and will need a family who is committed to giving her lots of structure and teaching her about the world in a safe and fun way. Blue isn`t a fan of being alone and is looking for a family who is home most of the time. She could likely do well with a social and tolerant dog friend to be a good role model for her and kids who can participate in her training.

Story
Jaxon has been with us since he was a puppy. He has grown a lot and is very excitable and full of energy. He loves to play with bubbles and sprinklers in the summer time. He enjoys trips to the dog park and socializing. He is an outdoorsy dog who loves exploring and chasing butterflies or playing in the snow. However with another baby on the way and my husband working a lot during the week. We are unable to give Jaxon everything he needs to be the best version of himself. He needs lots of space to run and play and someone who has the time to give him all the attention and training he needs. The goal is to find him a better fitting home. He gets along well with our other smaller dog, our cat and our young daughter. Would love to set up a meet and greet for anyone interested, looking forward to receiving your applications.
