Story
Meet Sally: The Comeback Queen  At just 2 years old, Sally has already raised *two* litters of puppies. Her most recent babies just turned 8 weeks old and headed off to their own foster homes… which means it’s finally Sally’s turn to be someone’s baby. And oh, does she deserve it. Sally is the perfect mix of playful and devoted. She’s an energetic, fun-loving little Velcro dog who wants to be wherever her people are — preferably touching you at all times once she decides you’re hers. She loves a good walk just as much as she loves curling up on the couch for a crime show marathon. (If there’s suspense on TV, she’ll be there to supervise.) She knows her basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and truly just wants to be with her people. Sally isn’t looking for chaos — she’s looking for comfort. A low-key home, perhaps with an older couple or someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle, would be her dream come true. She can be a little slow to warm up to new people and new situations, but give her time and patience and she will absolutely melt into you. Once she feels safe, she’s affectionate, loyal, and all in. She’s very much a homebody at heart. Big wild parties? Hard pass. Cozy evenings? Yes, please. Sally may benefit from a calm dog friend to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She’s currently fostered with cats and even a tortoise, proving she can peacefully coexist with a variety of housemates. After spending her young life raising babies, Sally is ready to retire from motherhood and step into the spotlight. She’s ready to be spoiled, cherished, and loved for the sweet, devoted girl she is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will choose you every single day, Sally is waiting. MA license #0092  ##2664582##

Story
Meet Sammy! She is an absolute saint of a dog and is ready for a new chapter in her life. Sammy arrived at WARL as a dog abandoned in Worcester. Her story began with uncertainty and questions. Sammy answered all of those questions and has shown us nothing but gentleness and resilience. Through medical challenges and big life changes, Sammy has remained soft, trusting, and quietly devoted to the people around her. She is the kind of companion whose presence alone brings a sense of calm.Ten Things We Love About Sammy:1. Lovey and demure with everyone she meets2. Exceptionally calm around other dogs — true grace3. Rides in the car like a dream, perfect travel companion4. A snow dog through and through5. Kids? Yes!6. Perfectly patient for baths and grooming7. Polite, easy leash manners8. Would shine at dog-friendly cafés and breweries if her new family enjoys those type of outings9. Her calm, sweet energy10. Her resilience through every medical challengeSammy does have a unique medical condition that can cause some incontinence, particularly in the evenings. Our team is happy to speak with potential adopters about management options, and we are open to creative housing situations to help accommodate her needs. What Sammy gives in return is immeasurable. WARL vet team provided Sammy with a surgery that will make her much more comfortable. If you are interested in adopting Sammy, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you have questions about her medical needs, or are unable to come during our walk in hours, email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
This is Max and Mike who are 1 year old Agouti Huskies and they are AMAZING! They differ from regular Huskies as their energy level isn't as high. They enjoy the dog park and are good with other fur babies. These boys are jewels! They are up to date on all shots and neutered and great with people and other dogs. They are on the smaller side for Huskies and are around 40-50 pounds. We are looking for foster or forever homes for them either together or separate. They are well behaved and know basic commands. Just all-around amazing fur babies! These two can be separated. Where are our Husky lovers?? ;) Directly email storkwoods@comcast.net and request an adoption application. We are an all-volunteer based rescue. Max and Mike are currently in TN and are looking for either forever or a foster home.

Story
Max is a calm, gentle giant. He loves to just lay around and be a part of his family. He has easy-going energy wise and prefers to be indoors. He does great with older kids, but tends to get anxious with little ones who don’t understand his boundaries. Unfortunately, our family has little ones that can’t respect his boundaries so we believe he belongs in a home where he can get full attention and the right love he deserves. He loves his walks two walks a day is ideal, but sometimes one walk is enough. He will play fetch for a few minute outdoors, but he rather just smell around. He does great with other dogs, he is also raised in a house with cats, but they tend to be in different parts of the house because he gets a little too excited about the cats. Hoping to find a home with older kids or just adults.

This dog was my sisters and she passed away. The dog is well behaved but could be a little tempermental he has had constant training for at least the last year. I think he is around 2 years old. The dog is currently with a dog trainer and in day care he is being looked after very well however the people who have them can not afford to take care of him. I am the executor of my sister's will and would like to find a good home for him
