Story
Meet Davis! Davis has come such a long way from his rough beginnings. Found living outside on a chain with little human interaction, he was shy and unsure of the world. With patience and love from his foster family, Davis has blossomed into a happy, playful pup with a quirky personality and the most mesmerizing ice-blue eyes. This medium-energy boy loves romping and wrestling with his dog siblings—he’s learned so much about how to be a dog from them! Because of this, Davis would thrive in a home with other well-socialized dogs to keep teaching him and to share in playtime. He also needs a securely fenced yard where he can run, chase, and play to his heart’s content.Davis is housetrained, crate trained, and travels well in the car (though he’s still getting used to it). On leash, he can be a little timid in new situations, but he walks politely and is gaining confidence every day. He doesn’t have a history with children, and he will need a cat-free home as he shows prey drive toward small animals. While Davis is much braver than when he was first rescued, he’s still easily startled by loud noises or quick movements—so he’ll need a patient, understanding family who will give him time to adjust. In return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and the sweetest husky-style “talking” when he gets excited. If you’re looking for a resilient, playful, and affectionate pup who’s ready to continue his journey in a loving forever home, Davis may be the one for you.Name: DavisBreed: Husky/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 55 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Treatment completed 11/25/25Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No has high prey drive.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Lucy! A spunky, fun-loving husky mix looking for a home with breed experience. She is an affectionate dog once she builds a relationship with you, but as huskies go, she can be a bit aloof. Lucy does have the potential to get along well with another playful dog, but she does have some puppy energy so the dog would have to be okay with that. She's a really smart dog that is going to thrive in a home with a taste for adventure! If you are interested in Lucy, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with her at any time. Feel free to visit our website, www.potterleague.org, for more information on adopting from us.

Bolt is a friendly, loving, and energetic best friend. I am sadly in a situation where I can no longer have a pet where I am moving. Looking for an active owner who can provide plenty of play time and room for Bolt to run. He lived with a cat and two other dogs in his life and is very friendly with other animals.

Story
Leo Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! A sweet and resilient boy who is ready for a fresh start. His former family loved him deeply but fell on hard times, living in their car while trying to keep him safe. Now Leo is looking for an understanding family to call his own. Leo is friendly with dogs, people, and kids ten and older. He lived with two dogs before and would do best in a home with another friendly dog for companionship. He is very affectionate, energetic, and loves hiking with his foster. When the fun is done, he’s happiest curled up beside you. Leo is experiencing separation anxiety, so he needs someone who works from home and can help him feel secure as he learns that being alone is okay. With patience, structure, and another dog by his side, Leo will learn he is safe again. **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Meet Shadow! A smart, inquisitive, sweet heart with the softest fur! Shadow is just a young gal who just turned a year old. She loves to play with both dogs and her human friends. While we may be bundling up with the colder weather these days, Shadow is excited for the snow and would love to play in the future snow with a new best friend. Shadow is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines, all she is missing is a place to call home!
