Story
Looking for someone to stay up and have late-night chats? If you said yes, Ricky is the pup for you! While he doesn’t often take requests, Ricky does love singing the song of his breed. He also happily stays up chatting with his foster dad while he plays video games (his foster dad, not him, although Ricky does have commentary on how he is playing!)Ricky is currently living with four other dogs in his foster home and is gaining confidence through them. He loves playing with the dogs and has started listening to their corrections as he learns how to be a dog in the home again. For this reason, we think another confident dog in the home would be beneficial for this boy. Ricky will need continuous exercise, and is happy to run, walk and jog wherever you’d like to go. (However, we’re still working on the car, that thing is a little scary!) Ricky is house trained and crate trained but has shown to be fine left in a gated off area as well. Ricky is slow to trust but when he does, he loves his people hard. We’d love to find him a home with husky experience as he does exhibit typical husky behaviors that his foster parents are continuing to work on and he is excelling. What’re you waiting for? Story
Meet Zeus! You will never see a prettier boy than our Zeus. He is a loyal, energetic husky looking for a new home. He has lived with children and is familiar with them, so he is a great family dog. Of course he will need plenty of play time and interaction to keep him busy, but he is oh so worth the investment! He can be a bit nervous around unfamiliar dogs, but he is playful and friendly in most cases. If you are interested in Zeus, please call us here at (401)846-8276 or you can come into our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with him at any time. Feel free to visit our website www.potterleague.org for more information on adopting from us.

Story
Silver Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Do you love Huskies? Then Silver is the dog for you. Silver is a 3-year-old neutered male Siberian husky, good with other dogs and with older kids due to some resource guarding. Silver will need a fenced-in yard and to be supervised outside since his recall isn’t the best (yet!) He is your typical Husky. He is mouthy & talkative! He loves people, treats, playing ball and fetch, and other dogs! If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
Ken Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! I’m just Ken! This Ken is one of a kind! He’s a gorgeous 1.5 year old husky, weighing about 55 lbs. He’s a super friendly guy, ready to greet everyone he meets! He’s good with people, other dogs, & kids. Ken still acts like the playful puppy he is, & could benefit from continued training. Given his breed, Ken requires a lot of physical & mental stimulation. He’s good in the car, and would love to be part of a family who enjoys the great outdoors & will include him on their adventurers! A large, fenced yard where he can run free would be ideal. Ken is both house & crate trained & looking for love! If you love huskies, you’ve got to meet Ken! **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
This is a courtesy posting for another rescue to gain some support for this lovely, readymade dog seeking adoption. Available for transport, she is currently being fostered in Texas by a friend who has fostered many dogs for us in the past, does such a terrific job and is hopeful this sweetheart will have success finding a forever home in New England. "Bambi" is a lovely young husky/shepherd mix girlie, barely a year old, who is lingering not finding a home. It all is rather silly, as she is just so well rounded and readymade. The husband of our friend is a natural born trainer and has put such nice behavior and manners on this willing pupil, as you can see. Bambi is a friendly, active girl who loves her crate, gets along just splendidly with the kids in the house, loves to be and play with other dogs, and has no bad habits to speak of other than just being a young dog. She loves going on daily jogs and taking on new training challenges! The only caution is no cats or small furries for this girl. She was dumped off in the rain in Houston to be saved by a good Samaritan as a young puppy, winding up in rescue, where she has been well cared for, and now needing to find her forever home. Provided she gets plenty of daily exercise, she will fit nicely into a variety of situations, is housebroken, knows her basic commands and is healthy, spayed and perfect. If interested, please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com and I would be happy to connect you with her foster, who has had her since April, knows her like a well read book and can answer any questions you might have. Her adoption fee is $200 plus the cost of transport.

is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##1655174##
