Story
Ghost is a six year old Siberian Husky. He loves to go on walks. He loves to play fetch with pretty much any type of ball. Ghost like to talk with you just like most other huskies. We got Ghost in California and he has been to Washington, South Carolina, Virginia, and now Michigan. We are hoping to find a really good home for him that can fit his active lifestyle and a backyard. He is absolutely friendly to all people and is amazing with kids. With dogs, it can really be hit or miss. He is house trained, kenneled trained and knows how to sit, shake, lay down, up, speak, and his version of crawl. He loves to cuddle and absolutely adores butt pats and neck scratches. I am no longer able to be active with him do to personal health issues, so I really want him to go to a good home that can provide for his needs.

Name: Nani Breed Guess: Husky/Shepherd Mix Age: 5 months Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 25 pounds Shelter Temperament: Goofy Children: Unknown Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $475 Likes: Getting attention and playing with people The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Gus is a very sweet, loving husky. He’s a puppy and needs space to run and get his energy out. He is house trained but needs someone that will have the time to train him, especially crate training. He’s a great dog! He comes with a crate and food.

Kai is a very sweet dog. She has a lot of energy for an 8year old. She loves her toys and needs walks regularly. We love Kai so much but the last few years have been a struggle to keep up with her high energy. She does love food, so you’ll have to watch it.

I'm Astro. I'm a 62 pound boy and I'm estimated at 2 years old. I was loose for three weeks and I was finally captured. I like to play with other dogs. I do not get along with cats! I know sit on command and I'm working on my other basic commands. I am affectionate and love to be pet. I just want to be by your side. I am a Velcro dog. I just want a safe and comfortable home where I will be loved and appreciated after running for so long.
