Quindim A17415345 lb. neutered male, approx 8 months old -Came in with a slight fracture and swelling to his leg. He has a splint on it and is being monitored.-He’s figuring out how to navigate the cast and a leash. I don’t think he’s been on a leash before. But he’s improving each day!-He’s super loving and affectionate-Kisses are a must with him!-He loves to be in your lap for pets-Likes treats and sits occasionally when he can navigate his new weird cast-Takes treats very gently-Not currently interested in toysSeems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
Woof...I'm Moose! I am a 1 year-old neutered male Husky. I came to the shelter as a lost dog and sadly was never picked up. I am an active and happy go lucky boy with a ton of fun to bring to a new family. I would do great with a family who knows the Husky breed and will spoil me rotten for the rest of my days. I always have a big goofy smile on my face and am ready to play any time. If you would like to adopt me, please find me on the website under "Available Dogs" and fill out the application! ***We will be accepting applications on Moose for 24 hours until 10:30am on Monday 5/5/25

Story
This is Ga'zuki, zuki for short. He was born Oct 15ish 2023. He was dropped off at my house at 8 weeks old for potty training and the owner never came back. From my understanding, he is a Great Pyrenees x Husky. He is currently around 105lbs. Pro- He walks well on a leash He is muzzle trained for a cage muzzle. He is high energy for about 10 minutes and then needs a rest. He is very smart. He knows several commands ( sit, stay, back up, excuse me, stop, enough) He does like some dogs He does like some cats He does like some children Cons- Separate anxiety being treated with a RX for that. He can be dog reactive, if he sees the other dog is a threat. Horrible recall, normal for these breeds. He eats socks. He likes to escape the yard and house, typical husky. He will need someone with husky experience due to his size.

Story
Willow is a beautiful, sweet girl with a mysterious past. She came to us from California. She is a very anxious dog that will need to be on medication moving forward. She is not good with other pets as she is super food aggressive. She likes to cuddle, take walks (she is very good on a leash), and chew on bully sticks! She is crate trained. That is her safe space. She is very sensitive to fire, smoke, thunder, and loud gun shot type noises. She needs a best friend. She’s had a rough life up to this point. We wish we could keep her but wouldn’t be fair to our other dogs.

Story
Hey my name is Wizard! I am a good dog looking for an owner willing to offer proper training, socialization, and exercise. I’m a high energy dog, I love to jump and play. My energy may not be suitable for young children. I am a quick learner, and with the help of some yummy treats, I will make you proud with my excellent manners. I do have A LOT of energy and may be a bit too much for some families! However, a lot of energy also means a lot of LOVE! With time, training, and patience- you can help me be the best dog I can be!
