Story
Bosco is your ready-made adventure buddy—the kind of dog who’s always up for hitting the trail and exploring the world by your side. He’s currently enjoying daily hikes and thrives in an active lifestyle where he can burn energy and stay engaged.Like a true husky, Bosco has a big personality to match his good looks. He’s expressive, vocal, and not shy about “talking” to you—sometimes with a little mouthiness when he’s trying to communicate.Bosco is social, active, and enjoys being around both people and other dogs. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion or regular play opportunities. He’s affectionate in his own husky way and bonds with his people, but he’s not a couch potato—he’s happiest when he has something to do and somewhere to go.Bosco is still working on some common husky habits, including jumping and mouthiness. His recall is improving every day, which is a great sign of his ability to learn and respond to training. He will do best with:-A structured home environment-Continued, consistent training-A commitment to professional training support-Plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulationBecause of his mouthy play style and energy level, we would not recommend a home with young children.Previously lived in a home with cats, but is not currently being fostered with them, so slow introductions and management would be importantBosco is looking for an active home that understands and appreciates the husky breed. He needs someone who will embrace his energy, continue his training, and provide the structure he needs to succeed. If you’re looking for a hiking partner, trail companion, and a dog with a fun, talkative personality, Bosco might just be your perfect match. Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills. After you submit an application, our team will review it and contact you within 24 hours. The process includes an interview, home check, and meet-and-greet (all household dogs must attend). If you rent, we’ll need to verify that your lease allows dogs. Approved adopters are required to complete a training course with a certified positive reinforcement trainer. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
This older girl is Leia. She is a chill and laid-back pupper whose favorite hobby is lounging. Leia is a big fan of pawsonal space when she is not playing with her rope toy. She is crate trained and prefers to sleep in her kennel. In her perfect world her kibble would come with a delectable toppers each evening. Leia is not big on being left alone, especially when she is still getting used to a new place and new people. A tall and sturdy fence will ensure that Leia doesn't get a chance to take a stroll without permission. However, walks and sniffs along with brain activities like Kongs and snuffle mats will help keep her brain active and keep her busy when her people are not in sight.

Story
Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.
