Story
Meet Hector – A Shy Dog Program Superstar!Hector is a sweet 1-year-old pup who came to us with his brother Mannie, and this gentle boy has come a long way. As a proud graduate of our Shy Dog Program, he’s worked hard to build his confidence, and it truly shows. While he may still be a little reserved when first meeting new people, give him just a moment and he’ll reveal his affectionate, curious side. This handsome youngster knows sit, takes treats with the softest mouth, and absolutely lights up for anything snack-related. He also adores toys—especially the ones that squeak—and enjoys splashing or soaking in the pool whenever he gets the chance.Hector is friendly with other dogs and is easy to walk, making him a lovely companion for quiet strolls or gentle playtime. He’s shown positive interest in dogs through the fence, but we always recommend bringing your dog for a meet and greet to ensure it’s the perfect match. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, Hector is ready to continue blossoming into the confident, loving dog he’s meant to be. He’s already done so much growing—now he just needs his person.

Her former family shared that she was friendly with adults and kids, didn’t try to escape, and had some training under her belt. With patience, structure, and love, Candy will blossom into the best sidekick for all of life’s adventures. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with plenty of love to share, Candy is waiting to meet you!

Story
Meet Mannie – The Energetic Adventurer!Mannie is a 1-year-and-2-month-old Husky mix, who came to the shelter with his brother, Hector. Mannie was a little shy when he first arrived, but now he’s confident, playful, and so ready to make new friends. One look into his piercing blue eyes and you’ll understand just how special this boy is. This spirited youngster has plenty of energy and loves to zoom around the yard. He’s a natural athlete who enjoys agility, exploring new spaces, and following his nose on adventures. While he can be strong on the leash, he’s eager to learn and excited to experience the world with you by his side. Mannie takes treats gently and seems dog-friendly through the fence, but we always recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a good fit.If you’re looking for a fun, active companion who’s ready to share joyful adventures, Mannie might just be your perfect match!

Story
Dallas – The Last Husky StandingDallas came to the shelter with two siblings, and now he’s the only one left. He’s fully aware of this tragic plot twist and is ready to steal your heart so he never has to be the last one waiting again. When Dallas first comes out of his kennel, he can be a little stressed and wildly energetic — we call it his “Husky Launch Mode.” Give him about five minutes to shake it off and he transforms into a sweet, curious explorer who’s much calmer and ready to connect.Dallas loves to run, chase balls, and pounce on toys. He’ll even carry them around proudly on occasion, but don’t expect a fetch champion — returning the toy is simply not part of his personal philosophy. He’s picky with treats and far more interested in sniffing and investigating the world around him. Once he slows down, he hands out the gentlest little kisses. Before coming to the shelter, Dallas lived with a family who said he was crate trained and had some basic training, though he will need some leash work. He’s friendly with adults and kids, but cats make him suspicious and he tends to bark at them.Dallas was surrendered simply because his family had too many dogs and he just needs a home where he can be the star, burn off his husky energy, and finally stop being the last one waiting.

Story
Meet Frost – A Snowflake with ZoomiesFrost is a 1-year, 4-month-old female Husky mix who brings big energy, big love, and a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. With her beautiful, unusual brown coat and that striking one-blue-eye stare, she’s a total head-turner—and she knows it.She’s playful, energetic, and absolutely lives for running and zoomies. Toys are a big hit, and while she’s gentle taking treats, she’s a bit picky about them (a lady has standards). Frost is easy to handle and walks well overall, though she may pull a bit on leash when excitement kicks in.Affection is her love language—Frost is happy to shower her people with kisses and soak up all the attention you’ re willing to give. Her previous family shared that she is housetrained and crate trained, has had some training, and was friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs.Frost was surrendered due to her family working too much and having an unstable living situation—they wanted her to have the best possible life. Now she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who can match her energy, give her structure, and enjoy all the love (and kisses) she has to offer.
