Kita is a beuatiful 2 yr. Husky mix (with easy to care for, short hair) that loves the great outdoors and spending time with his family.  He would make an excellent hiking partner. He gets along with every human he meets (including kids) and most dogs. Eager to please. Fast learner. Good jogger. Does well on leash and with dog door. Sits on command & learning even more! Really big lap dog.  He needs an active family. Couch potatoes need not apply.   He's ready to go home with you today!  Makita was surrendered to the shelter because the owner had too many dogs. He is current on all his vaccinations  - DAPP 1yr and Bortetella, 01/05/23.    Rabies 1yr,  Neuter & Heartworm test (Negative) 03/26/23 ##1803990##

Story
Hey, there, I’m Drift, a young (around 2) Alaskan husky mix. I’m a bit aloof at first, and just need some time to warm up and get to know you! I’m a bit restless, and enjoy long walks so I can explore my surroundings. I did pretty well on a group walk the other day with other dogs; I get a bit excited and bark a little, but my behavior was decent considering I’m a bit disoriented by apartment living. I haven’t had much on-leash experience, but I learn fast, and am fairly easy to walk with. I’m a beautiful boy who needs a loving place to call home. Come say hello at the Westside Animal Services Center just west of the Fire Academy on Sunset Gardens Rd SW.. I’ll be waiting patiently!Yours,Drift ??

I`m gentle with everyone I meet, and I`m always ready for a cuddle. I`m also a fast learner, so I`m great at understanding what you want from me. I walk really well, so I promise we`ll have lots of fun exploring together. I`m just a happy, friendly guy looking for a family to share all my love with.
