She came to Rome Animal Control as a stray, but sadly, no one ever came looking for her. While we can’t change how her story began, we can help write a much happier next chapter. Possibly a Husky mix The most unique, beautiful coat Seems to do well with other dogs Cats unknown Ready for a fresh start Piper has one of those looks that makes you stop and take a second glance. Her markings are absolutely stunning, and combined with her bright eyes and sweet face, she’s truly one-of-a-kind. We can only imagine how beautiful she’ll be once she’s settled into a home where she can finally relax and let her personality shine. Right now, Piper is still waiting at animal control. She isn’t in a Rover’s Do Over foster home yet because we need someone to step forward first. The moment we have a foster or an adopter, we can bring Piper into our rescue and begin the next chapter she’s been waiting for. Imagine how different her life could look. Luke is a 3-year-old, 42-pound sweetheart who’s ready to find his forever home! He was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter and has been settling in wonderfully at his foster home. His foster mom says he’s an easy, loving, and all-around good boy. Luke is fully vetted – neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. He walks great on a leash and enjoys getting outside for strolls and fresh air. With his calm, gentle nature and medium size, Luke would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a sweet, well-mannered pup to share life with. Luca was found as a stray on the streets on CA in late July (One of the most unideal and unnatural environments for a husky to be in). He was brought to a high kill shelter in LA city. Despite his very chill vibes (especially for a husky) and his attentiveness to his handler/appreciation for affection and his compatibility with other dogs he was not adopted. Luca caught an upper respitory infection after being in the shelter for one week and then was kept in medical isolation for the next 3 weeks. I do not know about you, but I would go pretty bonkers in that situation and Luca did as well. He was listed for euthanasia on August 27th. Luckily he was rescued by The Soulful Dog Rescue who then sent him to us to be adopted. We are hoping that Luca will be adopted by someone that wants to give this boy all the outdoor experiences that he has missed the first 2 years of his life. Luca is such a smart dog, he is always watching his human trying to anticipate what they want from him or how they want him to act. If you would like to meet this beautiful blue
