Story
Luke is a 3-year-old, 42-pound sweetheart who’s ready to find his forever home! He was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter and has been settling in wonderfully at his foster home. His foster mom says he’s an easy, loving, and all-around good boy. Luke is fully vetted – neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. He walks great on a leash and enjoys getting outside for strolls and fresh air. With his calm, gentle nature and medium size, Luke would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a sweet, well-mannered pup to share life with. He’s adjusting beautifully and just needs someone to give him the love and stability he’s been waiting for. Could that be you? 💙

Story
“Bat Ear” boy! Roo is a fun, lovable & goofy guy. Unfortunately I don’t believe I am the right home for him. I have a senior dog who is not taking to him as I hoped. Roo would do best in an active house, with someone who has a lot of time & attention to give to him. He is high energy and still a puppy.Things to note: Roo is on a special diet due to tummy issues! Please don’t hesitate to reach out! I would be happy to give you more information on Roo & send you videos to get a better idea of his big personality!

On walks, she takes her time to thoughtfully sniff and explore every leaf, twig, and blade of grass, savoring the world around her. She has a lovely independent streak, making her content to relax nearby while you do your thing, but she`s always down for gentle affection when you`re ready for love.If you’re looking for a low-drama, sweet-natured companion to enjoy peaceful strolls and quiet companionship with, Hootie might just be your perfect match!

Story
Introducing Tigger! Some dogs make an impression the moment you meet them. Tigger is one of them. This striking blue-eyed boy is a big, tall, gentle soul with an exceptionally kind heart. While he can be a little shy with people at first, earning his trust is a truly special experience. When Tigger quietly touches your hand with his nose or gives you the softest little kisses, it feels like you've just won the lottery.Tigger has some depth perception challenges, so he can occasionally misjudge movement or startle if someone reaches quickly toward his face/head. A calm approach and a gentle touch -- starting at his shoulders rather than his head -- help him feel comfortable. He doesn't react aggressively when startled; he simply needs a little understanding and patience.Despite his size, Tigger is easy to walk. He has lovely leash manners, responds well to gentle voice cues, enjoys car rides, and especially loves exploring quiet wooded trails. If there's one thing Tigger loves most, though, it's other dogs. He is a true pack dog and would thrive in a home with a canine companion. He has several best friends here at HumaneCNY and lights up when another dog joins him for a walk or playtime. One of the sweetest things we've seen was the incredible gentleness he showed toward a three-month-old puppy, carefully adjusting his play to match the youngster. Tigger isn't particularly interested in treats (although we're convinced his favorite snack is still waiting to be discovered), but he is motivated by companionship, kindness, and the comfort of having another dog by his side.If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart as beautiful as his crystal-blue eyes -- and you have a friendly dog who's yearning for a canine BFF -- Tigger may be exactly who you've both been waiting for. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal. You can fill out application to adopt at the shelter.
