Story
He's honestly a man for all seasons, but August is coming in hot as he is fast, handsome and smart all in one package and that is summertime hot! August is a husky come shepherd mix who is an adult weighing about 42 lbs now full grown. August loves to run and is an active dude looking for active people and he ain't afraid of no adventure either. August does well with other dogs though prefers to be the big man in his friend groups. This man is the total package of fun, love and brains and will prove a great companion for people who thrive on the unique characteristics of his breed mix. It might be winter that's a'coming, but August will bring in the warmth to these cold nights! *Sleepover Feedback: "August was the sweetest, most wonderful dog for the weekend! We were so blessed to host him. He would take note of and react to other dogs on our walk - not at all aggressive or loud - seemed like he wanted to play! He’s a bit timid to get in the car initially, but once he’s in, he settles down quite easily. He is a fantastic sleeper. Overall, August is such a warm, loyal, and cuddly companion." *Additional feedback: "August’ name sums him up so well; he is warm, energetic and his sunny disposition feels like a hug.August settled into our home very quickly, displaying manners while still letting his personality shine. He is full of energy and enjoyed our long walks and city exploration". *Additional feedback: "August was a joy to have. He immediately became best buds with my shepherd mix, Daisy. They played hard and slept well the entire weekend. He settled extremely well around 10 both nights to go to bed. With that he did amazing in his crate both nights and only whined once he heard me get up in the morning. He did really well on the leash. He learned/is learning to not jump for treats and to sit, but he is an extremely fast learner and seems eager to impress. He didn't pull beyond the initial getting out the door on walks both with Daisy and by himself. He seemed to love car rides, and doesn't seem to lack any confidence. The only time he barked the entire weekend was when someone passed directly outside the glass door to my backyard." Weekend Host Feedback: "August has been such a ray of sunshine this weekend. He went everywhere with me- we walked miles and miles and went out to eat on restaurant patios. He enjoyed the toys we got at the pet store and would make me laugh when he’d fall on me and roll over to get belly rubs or jump on his hind legs and twirl with excitement when we were walking outside. His handsome face and beautiful eyes would watch me everywhere I went, and he sometimes will cross his front paws when he rests- looking so classy! His snoring is adorable - he sleeps hard and let me sleep in each morning! To wake up to his sweet face and wagging tail just made my day. He is smart and eager to please- he is excellent at the sit command and food motivated. He looks forward to putting on his harness and getting in the car for adventures! He is very alert and curious about everything around him outside. It has been really hard for me to say goodbye to my new best friend after just a few days together. Whoever adopts August will be so loved and lucky! If you are looking for the perfect-sized intelligent, energetic, curious, loving, handsome and fun dog who lets you sleep in on the weekends- August is the one for you!"

Story
Oooh la la....she's a fancy girl and with her fancy exotic name, Hermia is ready to make you a husky lover! Hermia is an adult husky with the most beguiling coat that is thick as well as soft and flowing. She is full grown at a great size of about 46 lbs. Hermia is all husky...including active, smart, people focused and she also likes to talk some in the language of her people so may not be a great match for apartment living. Hermia has been great with the other dogs, both engaging and playing as well as allowing them some independence if desired while being independent herself. She would settle best in an active home that is knowledgeable of a husky's mental and physical desire for activity and stimulation. This girl is the total package of great hair, personality and heart!

Story
Petey This beautiful boy is the quintessential old-fashioned dog Petey. I have been fostering Petey for a year and completely in love. Too many other fosters to give him the attention he craves and deserves. He loves children and to be active and quiet time with close cuddling. He is good with other friendly dogs. He is E collar trained. He is about 80 pounds with powerful play energy with other dogs. He sleeps on a couch or in bed or just about anywhere - will go in a crate, but prefers not. He is not destructive. Petey is playful and trainable. The first year of his life was neglect being left outside tied to a tire.Despite this, his good nature has persevered. This sweet boy deserves the best in life and would do well in any home. He is on a foster to adopt basis. If it is not a fit immediately or at any time in the future, he must only be returned to me. He is sponsored. Come and meet him! He really is the best.

Story
Diesel is a 5 year old pure bread Siberian Husky that has lived with us since he was a puppy. He is highly energetic, affectionate, and intelligent. He embodies all the positive traits associated with the breed. He knows his basic commands (sit, down, come, heel, stay, speak, etc.), is house trained, and leash trained. He loves being outside and spends a lot of his time in our large fenced in yard. This is not a dog for small spaces. We have several small children (under 3) and he does very well with them. We do not have cats so aren't sure how he would do with them. He does have a very high prey drive. We are looking for a home where he will receive ample exercise, space, and attention.

Story
Bodie is a gorgeous 9-year-old Husky who’s looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy his golden years. He’s a gentle, sweet-natured guy who wins everyone over with his soulful eyes and soft spirit. Like many seniors, Bodie has a few age (and weight)-related mobility quirks, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the simple pleasures in life — sniffing around the yard, hunting for voles, and rolling blissfully in the grass. He’s also got a playful side and gets a kick out of squeaky toys! Bodie is perfectly house-trained and has excellent manners. He’s neutral with other dogs and coexists peacefully, though he’s not interested in playtime (his current foster friends are seniors too). While generally quiet, he does have that signature Husky howl and likes to use it on occasion — so no apartments for this distinguished gentleman. If you’re looking for a loyal, mellow companion who still has plenty of love (and a few songs!) to share, Bodie may be the perfect match.
