Story
Meet Capone! I'm a silly, playful, and fun-loving guy who will keep you entertained with my delightful antics. You'll be pleased to know that I'm both crate and potty trained, making me a well-behaved companion. However, I should mention that I prefer to be the only dog in the house, and I'm most comfortable in a home with adults - so no kids, please. I absolutely adore going for walks, and I'm always up for a good cuddle session or some playtime. Chewing on bones is a favorite pastime of mine, and I'm a sucker for treats. You'll find that I'm smart but a bit hard-headed, which can make life with me quite an adventure. Trust me, I'm even cuter in person! If you think I might be the one you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask to meet me. I can't wait to become your best friend and fill your life with love and laughter! If you're interested in learning more about Capone, please send an email to animalcenter@wake.gov with the subject line "Capone 236359" Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 72.5 Age: 5yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: White Weight: 42 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Marlow is a 1-year-old Siberian Husky with a calm, attentive personality and a smart, eager-to-learn mind. He already knows several tricks and enjoys showing off his skills, making him a joy for someone looking for a trainable, fun-loving companion. In playgroups, Marlow confidently interacted with a large, mixed group of dogs and had a blast romping with everyone. He's friendly, social, and earns top marks for his leash manners-making walks a joy and earning our coveted Gold Star badge.Marlow does have a high-energy, exuberant side that comes out during play. He can get a little carried away with mounting behaviors, regardless of the other dog's gender, and may need guidance during these moments. He would thrive in a home that can help him channel his youthful energy with consistent training, structured play, and plenty of outlets for activity. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Marlow, 265738". Story
Hi! My name is Forest. If you are looking for an ideal companion, then look no further cause here I am! I am already housebroken, know sit, shake, and I love the outside! I enjoy snuggling with you, and like a good romp in a fenced-in backyard. My favorite thing is being outside. I do not like to be crated, but I will go with a good bribe! My foster mom thinks I might have accidentally escaped from my people since I was caught chasing a deer. Since my prior owner could not be found, I find myself in need of a new home. My only requirement is a home with no small animals, (cats, rabbits, chickens, etc.,) and no small children. I am great with visiting children of all ages and sizes. My ideal home would be with a single man or woman who is a stay-at-home worker. I need someone who takes me on walks or lets me roam in the fenced yard. I let you know my likes and dislikes quickly, so I need a strong alpha owner who is familiar with dog behavior. If you are looking for a new friend who will not require much training, just a bit of time to understand your expectations, I would love to meet you! And hey, I am even neutered so I can go home with you right away!If you're interested in learning more about Forest, please email the front desk at animalcenter@wake.gov with the subject line "Forest 251717" Primary Color: Tan Weight: 70 Age: 5yrs 5mths 2wks
