Story
Heartworm PositiveMy adoption fee is $300 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. The rescue will pay for the injections for HW treatment at Shoreline Vet. in Jacksonville. My adopter would be responsible for the take home meds which average about $200, depending on size, over the 4-month span of treatment. Sweet, shy, and a vocal girl. I take a little bit to warm up, but once I do, I’m full of kisses and zoomies. I love running in the backyard with my toys, talking back, and cuddling with my foster mom on the couch. I’m house and crate trained. Since moving in with my foster mom, I’ve had no accidents at all! I love going on walks and getting all the attention. I don’t mind other dogs, but it does have to be a slow introduction, or I get too scared. I’d do best with an active family, preferably with a big yard for me to run in. If you think I’m a good fit, please consider giving me my forever home!April 29, 2025, 1:31 pm

Story
Meet Darby - The Couch King with a Heart of Gold! Darby is a strong, silly, and soulful pup with a serious love for very hard chew toys-only the toughest of the tough will survive his jaws. When he's not working on destroying his favorite toy, he's likely lounging on the couch in the spot he's claimed as his own. Dog social? Extremely. He thrives around other dogs and has no hesitation coming inside when he sees his canine buddies heading in too. Solo missions? A little trickier-if he's by himself, coming indoors is hit or miss. He definitely does things on Darby time. With people, Darby is selective. He barks-loudly and persistently-at those he doesn't know. But he's not aggressive; he's just sizing you up. He'll accept treats and even allow some pets from someone he's unsure about, all while locking you in a deep stare that feels like he's reading your soul. He's vocal when he wants out, and excited about food, though he's not entirely food motivated. Important Note: Darby is a flight risk. He'll need a secure home and yard with extra care taken at doors and gates-he's not one to wander off, he's one to bolt if given the chance. Darby's looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time-and is willing to go at his pace. Once he lets you in, he's loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining. Think you might be his person? Darby's waiting (probably on the couch).

Story
Say hello to Colt — a striking Husky/Mastiff mix with the heart of a goofball and the energy of a puppy! This gorgeous guy already knows his basic commands and loves to show off how smart he is (especially if treats are involved). He can even catch treats right out of the air! Whether he's bounding around the yard or flashing his silly grin, Colt is all about fun and affection. Leash time? Well... Colt thinks it's a game. You'll need to get a little clever to clip him up, but once he's leashed, he's surprisingly polite and enjoys his walks. Just don’t tell him it’s “walk time” too early — he likes a good surprise! Colt would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys outdoor adventures and has a good sense of humor. He’s looking for a home where he can run, play, and be his goofy self — maybe with someone who appreciates big dogs with big personalities. Ready to meet your new best friend? Colt's waiting to charm you!

Story
My adoption fee is $250 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. Chenoa is a very sweet and playful dog.  She gets along great with all 5 of my dogs ranging from 20 pounds to 170. She has had no issues with my 4-year-old nephew. She loves to destuff her plushy toys and enjoys chewing a bone on her dog bed! She loves to be with her people so she tends to cry for the first couple of minutes you crate her but quiets down and will settle in her crate and sleeps in it throughout the night! She takes good corrections from the personnel dogs. She is looking for her furever home that will have patience and continue her training to be the bestest girl!  May 9, 2025, 7:43 pm

Story
My adoption fee is $250 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. Hi! I’m Roko! I’m a 1.5-year-old goober of a happy, playful boy! I am crate and house trained, and I also know basic commands! I love to play fetch though sometimes I don’t like bringing the ball all the way back to you. Why do I have to do all the work anyway? I also love to play tug of war with my rope and if you aren’t ready will 100% pull you off balance! I’m still learning how to cuddle on the couch, but I do love to come up to, put my head on your chest or shoulder and get hugs, kisses, and scratches. My foster says I’m a bit of a special case and that means I need a special and understanding home. I do have some resource guarding issues but as long as you follow some very simple rules that my foster mom has taken the time to figure out then everything will be just fine. The main thing is I need a me only home, no young kids, and no apartments. With work and time, I may get over my resource guarding issues but I need a family willing to take that leap with me. Are you my perfect forever family?  April 29, 2025, 1:31 pm
