This is Kirby. He’s is 4 (5 on oct 19). He is up to date and on heartworm preventative. He would do best as the only pet (he has some issues with his current siblings). He likes older kids! He is a big baby and loves to cuddle. He’s the best dog to hug ever. He does have some unspecified pain issues. My son Caleb that is 21 years old is having to surrender Zeus because his schedule has become too busy to provide him with the consistent care and attention he needs and deserves. Unfortunately, he is no longer able to manage his daily needs properly, especially considering his medical condition. Zeus has a history of seizures and is on daily medication and requires routine medical appointments that I am not able to afford. This decision is incredibly difficult, but it is being made with his best interests in mind, in hopes that he can be placed in an environment better suited to support his health and well-being.

He’s settling in well at the shelter and enjoys spending time with his human friends. It’s incredibly difficult for us to re-home Kiwi, but we’re in the process of moving and, with my wife recovering from major back surgery, we’ve realized we can’t give Kiwi the care and attention she needs and deserves. Kiwi is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves affection and will even smile while being petted. She’s goofy, full of personality, and brings so much joy, especially when she gets the zoomies. She’s amazing with kids—our 9-year-old and 2-year-old adore playing with her, and she’s so gentle with them. She also does well with other dogs, as she’s spent lots of time with my parents’ dog. We’re unsure how she’d do with cats. We’re heartbroken to let her go, but we’re committed to finding her a loving family who will give her the happy, active life she deserves.
