Story
Sometimes, you CAN judge a book by it's cover. SYLVIE is as unique as her gorgeous tiger stripes. This stunning middle aged girl would be best as an only dog. But another calm, mature dog might work with a very slow introduction. SYLVIE would do best with no kids, or kids 12 and up. SYLVIE loves water and treat puzzles/filled Kongs to keep her very active brain engaged. She is as loyal as the day is long, and once she has picked you as her friend, she will walk through fire for you. Please visit our website, www.colonialcapitalhs.org to fill out an application today!

Story
Heartworm Positive/Just finished treatment 04/2024My adoption fee is $250 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. I am almost a 2-year-old and I act like it. I talk, shed, and run like it’s my full-time job. I am FULL of energy and love to play play play and sprint everywhere I go! I would love an active home or a home with lots of space for me to run. While I like to play with other dogs, sometimes, I am the dominant and will be the dominant. I also resource guard EVERYTHING. I would be best as the only dog in the home. A bath is not my favorite but I do enjoy playing in my water bowl so I might love a pool or the beach. I love to talk and am learning to walk nice on a leash. I do well when there are no distractions, but I get excited pretty easy. Sometimes I walk on 2 legs when I’m excited. I will not do good with smaller animals (cats, chickens, small dogs) as I have a high prey drive. I also play too rough with little dogs. My foster mom calls me an aggressive lover because I have lots of love to give and I give it whether you want it or not (hope you like hugs and kisses!). I’ve done well with children over 4 years old, but I might knock over toddlers on accident. Oh, and I will bring you my water bowl if it’s empty. So don’t let that happen unless you want a good laugh.  May 3, 2024, 8:39 pm

Story
My adoption fee is $200 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. I am in a home with other dogs but right now I’m not a fan of them. I would probably do better in a home with no dogs. I don’t care about the cats in my foster home. However, I am a high prey drive breed and may think cats, small dogs, and rodents are play toys or snacks. Because of my size and that I am really rough with toys, my foster mom thinks I would do better in a home with older kids or teens. I could probably knock a smaller kid down on accident. I walk well on a leash. I love car rides and belly rubs,  I do have high energy so I would love a yard to run! Due to my fur, I would do best with regular brushing and grooming.May 3, 2024, 8:39 pm
