Story
It’s incredibly difficult for us to re-home Kiwi, but we’re in the process of moving and, with my wife recovering from major back surgery, we’ve realized we can’t give Kiwi the care and attention she needs and deserves. Kiwi is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves affection and will even smile while being petted. She’s goofy, full of personality, and brings so much joy, especially when she gets the zoomies. She’s amazing with kids—our 9-year-old and 2-year-old adore playing with her, and she’s so gentle with them. She also does well with other dogs, as she’s spent lots of time with my parents’ dog. We’re unsure how she’d do with cats. We’re heartbroken to let her go, but we’re committed to finding her a loving family who will give her the happy, active life she deserves.

Story
Thunder is a handsome, loving and loyal 2 year 6 months old male with a sweet and affectionate nature who is full of energy and fun. He loves going for walks, playing outside, and getting lots of attention from his favorite people. He is very smart and charming, and would be a great addition to a family who can give him the love and attention that he deserves. Unfortunately, his previous owner was not able to keep him because he was not getting along with other animals in the home. We do not know if he gets along with other dogs, although he has been friendly with people. He came to the shelter on January 7, 2025. He is up to date on all of his shots and would love to meet his forever family soon. Maybe you're perfect for this charming, handsome fella?! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Story
Shadow was adopted from Husky breeders in 2021. He has been an awesome addition to the family for years. However, his shedding has always been a problem. My daughter and I have pet allergies that have been controlled with meds until a couple years ago. Shadow's shedding exacerbates these allergies. It has gotten unbearable for my 8 year old daughter. We are all sad to see him leave but we would love for him to go with a loving family with a big yard to run and play. He especially loves playing with other dogs and has never been the only dog in the house.
