Story
Winter is a beautiful 4-year-old Husky with a gentle soul and a heart full of devotion. Shes the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with her person and simply wants to be by your side through lifes quiet, everyday moments. This lovely girl is calm for a Husky, with a medium-to-low energy level. She enjoys her walks (and walks beautifully on leash!) and a bit of playtime, but shes just as happy coming home to relax, nap, and soak up affection. Shes incredibly smart, eager to please, and picks up on routines quickly. Winter is wonderful with peoplemen, women, and respectful children over 6and has a soft, gentle way about her. She plays nicely, loves attention, and will quietly step away if things get a little too busy. Shes also friendly and well-mannered with other dogs. At home, Winter is a dream companion. Shes house-trained with only occasional, easily managed accidents, and she shows you she needs out by pacing. Shes not destructive and can be left alone uncrated for short periods, where shell calmly wait for your return. Crates, however, are not for hershe finds them very stressfulso shes looking for a home where she can have the freedom to feel safe and settled. Winter does experience separation anxiety and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time and is willingto continue working on building her confidence when alone. In return, she offers unwavering loyalty, constant companionship, and the sweetest little habitslike her happy dance at mealtime. If youre looking for a loving, mellow, and deeply devoted companion who will follow you from room to room and always be close by, Winter is ready to be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your best friend. Story
Meet Potato your soon-to-be favourite comfort food. Potato is a 3 yr old male husky mix and is the perfect blend of hearty, wholesome, and just a little bit spicy. This lovable pup is as friendly as they come, greeting everyone on walks like a local celebrity and happily soaking up pets from admirers of all ages. He adores people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has proven to be gentle and sweet with children over six. Whether hes cruising in the car, showing off his sit and down, or trotting along proudly on his halti, Potato is always ready to be part of the action. (And man -- look at that smile and face -- Potato is 100% handsome and his happiness is contagious!) Like any growing spud, Potato is still working on a few things. Hes very food-motivated (seriously he will do anything for a treat), which makes training both fun and effective. He thrives on routine and is learning to let you know when its time to head outside as long as you keep to his schedule, hes mostly house-trained and keeps his crate perfectly clean. Hes strong on leash but improving, and while he may test boundaries with the occasional gentle nip when overstimulated, he responds well to guidance and structure. Potato is an active, playful boy who loves romping with dog friends and, true to his name, has a talent for digging after all, potatoes do belong in the dirt. He would do best in a home that can provide supervision, consistency, and continued training as he settles in. In return, youll get a loyal, affectionate companion who is equal parts cuddly and fun, with just enough quirky charm to keep life interesting. If youre looking for a dog whos comforting, full of personality, and impossible not to love Potato might just be your perfect match. Story
Eden is an approximately one-year-old Husky mix female who came to us from Moose Factory in northern Ontario. She has been doing very well in foster care and, now that her vetting is completed, she is ready to find her forever home! Eden came to us with a previous injury that we can only guess was the result of being hit by a car. She had a diaphragmatic hernia that required intensive surgery and several days care at the emergency specialist clinic, but she is now fully recovered. We can also see on x-ray that she had a previously fractured right hip and femur - this was healed prior to coming into our care but because of the way it healed on it's own, Eden will always have a unique gait when walking/running. This doesn't affect her mobility and play but does mean that she should maintain a lean body condition and receive joint supplements daily for her lifetime. Despite this, she remains an active, happy young dog who embraces life with energy and joy! Eden has a friendly, affectionate nature and a wonderful disposition. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. Eden travels comfortably in the car, settles nicely in her crate at night, and has already learned basic commands such as sit and come. Eden is highly social and enjoys meeting new peopleshe greets everyone with enthusiasm and will benefit from continued reinforcement of polite greetings. She gets very excited to meet other dogs and loves to launch into play! She might be a bit too much for a small, timid dog, but she would love a big playful buddy to keep her busy! She can be left uncrated for short periods of time, though like many young dogs, she enjoys chewing and digging. Overall, Eden is a loving, well-adjusted companion who will thrive in a home ready to continue her training and support her health needs while enjoying all the affection she has to offer. If you are looking for all the joy of a young dog - Eden may be your perfect match! Please complete an adoption application on our website if you'd like to add Eden to your family!   Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip.
