Story
Denali is a beautiful, Sweet Dog. He does well around all other dogs, great with children. We are just not able to keep him looking to find him a wonderful home. He is still a puppy so he needs someone that will play with him and would do great with a family with children.

Story
Meet Echo - A Shy Soul with a Playful HeartEcho is a beautiful Siberian Husky mix who came to us from a tragic situation. While her original owner was at work, another dog in the home attacked Echo so severely that she required surgery, or she would be euthanized. Understandably, Echo came to us very afraid of everything.Echo has been thriving in a foster home where she has learned to trust other dogs who are similar to her in size. She has also learned to get along with a cat in her foster home, though we would always exercise caution when introducing her to cats or any dogs much smaller than she is. Echo is shy at first, but warms up to people once she knows them. Just like some people need extra understanding and trauma-informed care, we recommend the same approach for Echo. She has enjoyed meeting people at adoption events, but she has yet to find the right person.Like many huskies, Echo is a runner. This means that when she is off-leash, you can`t always count on her to come back to you. We would recommend not letting Echo off-leash unless you are in a fenced-in area. Like we said, she comes from a background of trauma, and if something scares her, her instinct is to run. If you`ve read this far and think you`re the right person for Echo, please contact us. We know the right person is out there for Echo!

Story
Meet Spectre - Our otherworldly handsome Husky mix!Spectre is a beautiful, LARGE husky mix who loves belly rubs, being goofy, and romping like there is no tomorrow. The positives: He is showstoppingly handsome and loving! If you`re out on a dog walk, everyone will be sure to tell you he`s the most beautiful dog they`ve seen! He is active, and will help you keep up with any exercise goals you have. Want to run 25 miles per week this year? No problem! Spectre`s the dog for you!The negatives: Like many huskies, Spectre has a serious prey drive. He cannot be around cats, chickens, or any animal that he might see as prey. We would require a meet and greet to ensure he gets along with any dogs you already have. Spectre cannot be left unattended in a yard (unless you have a magical husky-proof yard -- which some people with breed experience do have!). We would not recommend letting him off-leash unless you are in a fenced-in area. We know the right person for Spectre is out there, and that right person most likely has husky breed experience. Spectre has already been in trouble in his past because of irresponsible owners, and we want him to find a fur-ever family this time.

Story
...Paris is a tiny Husky mix with a massive personality—just 40 pounds of pure energy, sass, and nonstop fun. She was found at McDonald’s on West Court Street in Pasco and is now spayed and ready to go home today!Paris is one of a kind. She’s playful, quirky, and hilarious, with puppy-like energy that never quits. She’s currently obsessed with her giant banana toy (seriously, almost as big as she is) and will wrestle, parade, and carry it around like the superstar she is. Walks? She struts. Treats? She earns them like a pro. Toys? Don’t even get us started—she’ll make them the most exciting thing in your day. She’s endlessly entertaining, full of joy, and guaranteed to make the right person laugh, smile, and never be bored. As we’ve gotten to know Paris more, she has helped us learn a little more about what environment will help her be most successful. Paris has shown us she would likely do best in a home without children, as she can become mouthy during excitement or when her communication cues are missed. She’s a smart, expressive girl who benefits from people who recognize and respect her boundaries and help redirect that energy appropriately. This isn’t a bad thing—it just means we want to set Paris up with the home where she can thrive and be her best self.Since Paris was found as a stray, her history with other dogs or cats is unknown, but what we do know is she’ll light up the right home lucky enough to have her.Paris’s adoption fee is $50. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Meet and greets are required between any current dogs in the home and the dog you wish to adopt prior to going home. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet Paris and see for yourself the joy, energy, and chaos she brings to every room she walks into!

Story
...Niko was found on 11/20/2025 at Washington Elementary in Kennewick wearing a bright red collar, like he belonged to someone. But no one ever came for him—and since then, he’s been waiting. At just over a year old, Niko is a 74-pound burst of energy, personality, and chaos in the best way. He’s the kind of dog that hits the yard and immediately takes off—zoomies first, questions later—racing back and forth like the world is his playground. And honestly? Watching him is impossible not to smile at.He’s incredibly food motivated and already knows “sit” and “lay down,” and while he walks pretty well on a leash, he’s strong and still very much a puppy in a big body. He’s a little stubborn, a little wild, and a whole lot of fun. The kind of dog that will absolutely keep you on your toes—but will also make you laugh every single day.And then there’s his look—Niko is stunning. A houndsome mixed breed with piercing brown eyes and a coat that gives him this wild, coyote-like appearance. He looks like he should be intimidating… but he’s not. Not even close. He’s playful, curious, and full of life. He just needs someone who sees that energy for what it is—potential. Someone who will let him run, let him learn, and help him grow into the incredible dog he’s meant to be.We won’t sugarcoat it—Niko can be a bit mouthy and jumpy, and he will need continued training. But these are the kinds of things that come with young, high-energy dogs, and with consistency and effort, he’s going to thrive. He wants to engage, he wants to learn—he just needs someone willing to meet him there. His history with other dogs or cats is unknown.Niko’s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time. For questions or to check his availability, stop by the front desk, give us a call, or send us an email!

Story
Oso was adopted from a family who had all his brother and sisters. He caught our eye with his beautiful polka dots and different colored eyes. He is very energetic and enjoys being outside with his family. He loves playing catch, rolling in the grass and is friendly with kids. He loves to cuddle and play in the snow. He knows how to give a handshake and roll over for a yummy treat! We’re hoping he can go to a loving family or someone who needs a companion. He loves attention & we’re hoping someone can give him all of that.
