Story
Hi, I'm Jinora and I'm a special girl looking for a special home!** I still need to be spayed so when my forever family decides to adopt me, I will be placed on hold. Then I can be picked up after my surgery. **My ideal home would have another friendly, playful canine pal. I don't seem to have much experience living indoors or receiving pets from people. I'm looking for a patient, experienced forever home that can allow me to blossom at my own pace. I'm working really hard on my leash skills and will not be ready for neighborhood walks right away. It is unknown how I would do living with cats or kids. Kennel staff can tell you more about my needs when you come out to meet me!I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. I'm about 6 months old and currently weigh 30 pounds.Do you like...Dogs? I enjoyed living with another young dog previously! Please bring all dogs in the home with you when you come out to meet me! Cats? I've lived with a kitty previously and may want to playfully chase future feline friends. Slow introductions, training and supervision will be a must if you want me to live with your cat!Kids? I'm handling sensitive and can be a little nippy if pushed, I'm looking for a mature household with no young kiddos at this time. (13+)Anything else you'd like us to know, Roxie? I'm looking for an active household that will get me consistent exercise and challenge me with brain games! I am a very smart girl, and will need a family who can keep up with me! I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Story
Hi, I'm Starla! I've proven to be an escape artist and am looking for a forever family that is committed to managing these tendencies. Previous husky experience is a plus, too!Do you like...Dogs? Yes! Please bring any similarly sized dogs in the home to meet.Cats? Due to my size and breed, it is recommended I go to a kitty-free home at this time.Kids? I can be shy with new folks and would prefer to live with kiddos old enough to let me warm up on my own time. Please bring any kids in the home to meet to make sure we're a good fit!Anything else you'd like us to know, Starla? I'm about 1.5 years old and weigh 70 pounds. I would benefit from crate training in my new home, as I have shown to be destructive when left alone without my exercise needs fulfilled.I came into the shelter as a transfer and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Benny was found on 11/26/2023 at W Irwin Way & Barger Dr. He came into the shelter already neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. ** I still need to be neutered so when my forever family decides to adopt me, I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **Hi, I'm Kafka! I'm about 4 years old and weigh 61 pounds.Do you like...Dogs? I have not enjoyed being around other dogs and will need to start as the only dog in the home. Cats? Unknown, staff aren't sure how I would do living with a kitty friend.Kids? I'd do best with older kids who are dog-savvy. (10+)Anything else you'd like us to know, Kafka? I'm a husky mix, so mental stimulation and regular exercise are a must have for me! Aside from that, I've been nice with staff, but can be a little flighty at times. I would do best in a home that has structure and routine! I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I would need slow introductions and training in order to live with a feline friend!Kids? I would do best meeting older kiddos to start as I can be a bit jumpy. 8+Anything else you'd like us to know, Ollie? I'm a sweet, young guy who would love to be your adventure buddy for life! I've shown that I can be dog reactive in an apartment setting, and may do best in a more low-traffic environment.
