Story
This handsome Husky mix may look a bit older with his distinguished grey muzzle, but he's likely around 6-7 years old and full of life! Rider's journey to us was a challenging one; he was running loose for over a week near the Dunes ATV rental and Mobile Park by Spinreel, evading many attempts to catch him. Finally, on July 14, 2025, we were able to bring him to safety. When we found him, Rider's paw pads were severely torn, he was dehydrated, and covered in fleas and worms. Despite his ordeal, this boy is incredibly sweet! He's never met a stranger, and he's wonderful with other dogs and kids – he was simply scared. Rider is now healing up nicely and has truly blossomed. He's a "talker" and loves to hold conversations with people he's excited to see. He absolutely enjoys doggy daycare, showing his playful side. He has been vaccinated, given flea medication, and dewormed. Since no owner has come forward by July 20, 2025, Rider is now available for adoption! He is sweet as pumpkin pie and is going to make someone an amazing, loving companion. If you're looking for a sweet, communicative, and friendly dog to add to your family, Rider might be your perfect match!

I`m both energetic and cuddly! I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Story
Uma Furman was found on 3/4/26 at Barger & Terry in Eugene. She came into the shelter not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Meet Lucius – Your Adventure Buddy with a Sweet Side Lucius is a 4.5-year-old Husky mix with the perfect balance of independence and affection. He enjoys the comfort of being inside and will happily nap near his people, but once he wakes up, he’s ready to explore! This boy loves being outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk or simply sitting outside on leash soaking in the fresh air and watching the world go by. True to his Husky roots, Lucius is energetic and absolutely loves to sniff everything. Walks are his favorite activity, and he thrives with regular outdoor time and mental stimulation. He does best on leash and is not reliable off leash unless he’s in a securely fenced yard. Lucius does well with small dogs and has lived peacefully with two little dogs, as well as cats. Like many dogs, he can be particular about high-value items and would do best with supervision around toys or special treats in a multi-dog home. With clear boundaries and structure, he continues to show what a sweet, loyal companion he is. Overall, Lucius is a sweetheart who just wants love, consistency, and a family that understands his need for movement and engagement. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys both cozy naps and outdoor adventures, Lucius might be your perfect match. He is being fostered in Texas, but can be transported. To apply directly for Lucius, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-809 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
