How about my crazy trick ears!!! lol- I most often keep them down but when I get excited I can hold them out in all kinds of crazy positions! I such a happy -go-lucky puppy! The last our the litter! Sweet little pup that will grow into a medium sized dog. Mom was a Husky mix and Dad was a Boxer mix. So I'm a mix of many! But I sure am sweet!!! Before completing an application, please take into consideration breed characteristics, puppy shenanigans and the size at full grown. -I am full of razor sharp puppy teeth and LOVE to chew. -I am not house trained or crate trained. (working on it) -I need exercise, play time, mental enrichment time NOT confined to tons of crate time! -I need quality time spent with them to learn their proper manners, obedience training, house training and LOTS of time to properly socialize them. -I have had a rough start to life and need the best home possible for me to learn about love and loyalty. -We only place our dogs and puppies into home that meet "their needs. Our dogs are fully vetted. This includes spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies, microchipped, Heartworm and Lyme tested, worming, flea treatments, Heartworm prevention started and any other medical care needed. Foster to adopt dogs, simply means they live with you while receiving their care. Then you adopt once ready for adoption. Our adoption fee also includes 6-week group obedience class (value $125.) If adopting a puppy under age we cover spay/neuter at 6 months. Paws In Prison dogs will not be ready for their new families until they complete their training program. Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Macy arrived at NCCR in mid-November after she was discarded by a breeder who had no further use for her. She is an approximately 10-year-old female Husky. Macy seems to be at least partially blind in her left eye. She is a friendly girl who seems to love attention and petting and enjoys being with people. She knows how to walk on-leash, but enjoys her down time as much as her walks. Macy is able to climb low fences, but seems to do well with the shelter’s 6’ fences. She may need work on house training, but seems to be doing very well with it as long as she is kept on a routine schedule. She does not seem to like other dogs much - probably a result of being a breeder mom, she had to always watch out for her pups! Typical of Huskies, she is a shedder, but she loves to be brushed, which makes grooming much easier! If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application.  *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you.   If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in. *PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them. NYS Registration #RR028
