Story
Application Link: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/ARH-A-20 Adoption Fee: $310 All dogs are fixed, up-to-date on age appropriate shots and micro-chipped. What a loyal girl. Soki is about 3 years old, about 65lbs, and a husky boxer mix. She is slow to trust but once she does, you will have a dog that loves you like no other. She is a queen and with that comes some sass from her husky heritage. She can carry on a conversation and loves to sit on the dining table chairs when doing so. I have had many dogs doing rescue and none can match her personality or devotion. She is not the best with cats and can be dog selective. Does not do well with bossy dogs.

Story
Lizzie (5) and Lilac (8) are a very special bonded mother and daughter duo who are searching for a patient and loving home together. Both girls spent their entire lives in a puppy mill where they were used only for breeding. They lived in poor conditions with very little human interaction, socialization, or handling. Because of this, they came to us extremely overwhelmed by the world outside of the only life they had ever known. When Lizzie and Lilac first arrived, they were terrified of their new surroundings. They spent most of their time hiding in the corner and struggled to adjust to the sudden change from their previous rabbit-hutch style living conditions. Over the past several months, they have been slowly working through rehabilitation and learning that people can be kind and that life can be safe and predictable. Lilac, the mother, is understandably the more shy of the two. After spending eight years in a puppy mill without socialization, she is still very timid. She is not mean in any way and does enjoy gentle attention, but she will not seek it out and needs a patient person who understands that trust takes time. Lizzie is a bit more outgoing than her mom and will come to people for attention once she gets to know them. Both girls are incredibly sweet and loving at heart, they simply need time and understanding to feel safe. Lizzie and Lilac rely heavily on each other for comfort and confidence, and because of this strong bond they must be adopted together. They truly thrive on routine and having each other nearby. Their future family must understand that these girls will need continued patience, consistency, and a slow transition into their new life. They are looking for a calm household willing to allow them to move at their own pace while continuing to build confidence. Because they are still easily overwhelmed and can be flight risks, a secure fenced-in yard is required. They would do best in a quieter home without young children, as high energy environments can make them nervous. They are also not suitable for homes with cats. Despite their difficult start in life, these girls have come so far during their time in rehabilitation. With the right family, patience, and continued guidance, Lizzie and Lilac have the potential to blossom into truly wonderful companions. They have already endured more than most dogs ever should. Now they deserve the chance to experience what it means to finally be loved, safe, and home. ADOPTION FEE WAIVED.

Story
Meet Thor, the German Shepherd/Husky mix with a personality as big as his name. What does that mean? Independence! This guy's independence runs so deep, he probably has his own Wi-Fi network. Thor loves people, but let's get one thing straight: he's not here to be your pet. He's here to be your partner. If you're an active person looking for a four-legged co-pilot, Thor's your guy. He needs plenty of space to run, but also a fence to keep him from raiding the neighbor's trash like a raccoon with a gym membership. Thor's cool with other dogs but hasn't had a long-term roommate before. He's still learning the subtleties of doggie diplomacy. He needs a laid-back sibling who loves to wrestle and snuggle but won't hold a grudge if Thor accidentally hogs the bed. Stubbornness? Thor's got it in spades, courtesy of his GSD and Husky heritage. He needs a person who understands that bribes, ahem, rewards, work wonders. Thor wants to please you, but only on his terms and timeline. Think of him as a furry negotiation partner. Our staff and trainers have put in countless hours helping Thor shake off his past and embrace his potential. He's now ready to find his forever human, preferably one with breed experience and a high tolerance for doggy independence. Thor is more of a man's dog but will graciously tolerate women if they meet his high standards of belly rubs and treat-giving. Think you're up to the challenge of being Thor's partner in crime? Story
Hi friends. Luna here. I'm still looking for my perfect home. I'm a great gal but I come with some quirks. I don't like young-ins and I'm afraid of men. I love my lady friends very much! I enjoy most dogs (especially if they let me be the boss) and kitties are my BesT FriendS! If you are active and need a companion, I'm your girl. Walks are my favorite. -We only place dogs in homes that meet THEIR needs. -Be sure to visit our Facebook page for additional pictures and information on our rescues!
